Dr. George Christophi, MD, PhD

My son has de-compensated advanced-stage cirrhosis. He said it was compensated. Compensated have virtually no symptoms while de-compensated symptoms include jaundice, ascites, confusion, fatigue, and he never touched my son or took vitals. My son had a sonogram of his liver two weeks ago. Christophi wanted another one done. Why?

Incompetent doctor! Needs his license revoked! He will unalive you! Beware!

I saw him for gastric issues I’ve had for years. I was new to this area, and saw him a couple of times before he had me do gall bladder surgery. I have had even more issues since the surgery. I had continued to go to him for help even after a recent cruise which I didn’t do well, and he said he couldn’t help me. Suggested I go as far as Orlando without any recommendations. I was shocked and frustrated. I’m back to having to look for another gastro. He made it clear he didn’t want to help me. I believe he misdiagnosed me, and didn’t want to deal with my gastric problems.

As GI professional he is the absolute best. Kind, caring, knowledgeable and an impeccable bedside manner. Staff is knowledgeable and well mannered. You can tell they care.

He is all around the best!!!

When I had my first appointment with him, I thought Dr. Christophi was great. He spent a lot of time with me and answered all my questions and concerns. It wasn't long before I had a colonoscopy that he incorrectly billed. Now, one (rejected) appeal attempt and six months later, I am still left with a $4500 bill. This is WITH insurance and even the doctor himself admitted that it shouldn't have happened. I think what is worse than this situation is his apparently inept nursing staff. You will have to ask Angie 3-4 times for help before she actually does anything. I called (3 times) to have them send me a script through the mail. When it arrived, it had 1/4 of the medication I was prescribed. I called and complained to the office, and they sent another one with the correct dose out (again, a week later). However, I had to pay TWICE for their mistake. Seriously, they come across great but Dr. Christophi is very forgetful and his staff will make you to rip your hair out. Totally wish I… never chose him.

He listens to everything I have to say and never rushes the appts. He explains things so that its easy to understand and always asks my opinion about the treatment plan and makes sure I am comfortable with everything. I wish I would have found him sooner! Highly suggest him
