This doctor sells his opinion to insurance companies to deny medically necessary treatment to patients he has never even seen. He took an oath to help patients, not deny treatment so he can make a few bucks. He has broken his oath. Shame on this doctor.

She sells her opinion to insurance companies to deny treatment for patients she has never seen. She is not qualified to do this and it reflects poor patient care.

Dr. Metoyer is paid by insurance companies to deny medical care for patients. Dr. Metoyer does not follow standard treating protocols when making these denials - she just denies them. She has forgotten that she went to medical school in order to help people and instead chooses to do the dirty work of insurance companies. There are better options for treating physicians who care about the health and well-being of patients.

First off, my husband and I have zero experience with this doctor. Not once have we met him or her. My Husband suffers from a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) that he received while working for a negligent company. Because of this companies negligence my husband will be spending the rest of his life in a wheelchair. My husband has lost the ability to live what many people would consider a "normal everyday life," and because of his insurance fighting him on every turn, he isn't even able to live as normal of a life as he can while being wheelchair bound. Now his insurance is asking this doctor, who I can't even tell you is a man or a woman, about a procedure my husband needs in order for us to try and conceive another child. Take into consideration that this procedure was requested by our actual FERTILITY specialist that we have met and spent multiple visits going over our options about what might work based on what doesn't work. We were able to conceive a child before he was ever injured so… the issue obviously occurred after his injury. However, we have never met this doctor. He/She has no idea who my husband is, what he looks like, or even about the severity of his injury. How can a doctor claim that the electroejaculation procedure isn't needed for a patient who is unable to ejaculate on his own, or with items similar to the Ferticare, if they have never evaluated the patient to begin with? We don't even live in the same State as this doctor! Because of his/her comment about my husband not needing this procedure to ejaculate we now have to appeal the request in hopes that they might take responsibility for his accident and finally allow him to start living as normal of a life as he can. Frankly, I just wish this doctor would take the time to try and evaluate my husband and MEET him before making decisions that effects THE REST OF HIS LIFE. Also, I question his/her ability as a doctor, because how can you make a report about someone you have never met in the first place. You need to seriously fix this, and take the time to meet and evaluate my husband before you make statements regarding his life. You do not know what he is capable of, you don't know anything about him. I would not recommend anyone seeing this doctor, ever! If he or she is willing to make reports on people they don't know, then I question their ability to help anyone.
