Dr. Grace Soojung Hyun, MD

Never heard back from my appointment. Then when calling they told me they lost my ultrasounds. When trying to speak to the doctor I was just kept on hold and then hung up on, multiple times. Still haven’t been able to get them.

I sat in the office with my son for two hours and was told by the receptionist that billing was still on ththe phone with my ins company. I ended up calling myself and got through the to both of my insurance companies in a matter of 20 minutes and got the issue resolved. After I informed the receptionist that I got through the to the ins companies he looked surprised and still insisted that I pay 495 because billing was telling him something else then he insisted that I reschedule my appointment because over two hours had passed. I was extremely annoyed and felt like they were blowing me off and really just wanted me to pay the 495. I will never go back to this office. As far as billing they need to communicate more with the staff and in turn communicate better with the patients.

Dr. Grace was amazing with the way she took her time explaining everything. Answered all my questions and was not in a rush!

My daughter began having uti's at 10 months. Dr. Hyun was recommended to me as the top pediatric urologist and she is exactly that. I love this woman. She explained everything to us, walked us through the process regarding testing that needed to be done to our daughter to ensure that there was not a kidney disorder. She takes her time with you, makes you feel like an old friend as soon as you walk in the room. I refer all of my friends, friends of friends, etc to her. 1 in a million

My son underwent hypospadias repair when he was 9 months old with Dr. Hyun. After his surgery I started to see that something was wrong with the way my son's genital area was healing. When I brought my concern to the doctor, her response was always that it looks fine and I should not worry and to wait more time until it's completely healed. So after couple of months it still looked wrong and when we came to her office, Dr. Hyun told us that my son needs another surgery. I knew it was going to happen, since the surgery wasn't done successfully the first time. However Dr. Hyun was not telling us the truth and kept us guessing. I never came to her again, and we went to another doctor when he successfully fixed her mistake. I want to share this with other parents. Please go to another doctor. There are plenty great doctors out there, and Dr. Hyun is definitely not .

After waiting upwards of an hour for an appointment for my son, the doctor rushed and then billed an exorbitant amount for just a 5 min consult. In trying to schedule a procedure with her, via her administration, I had to call several times, waited a very long time to hear back, and in general found her and her staff to be rude and inept. In a city where there are plenty of doctors, even specialized ones, I dont understand why they have such low tolerance for patients. I found a new doctor, but wish I had saved myself some time, effort, frustration, and $ by never going to her in the first place. I have shared this feedback with my referring pediatrician as well.

My son has kidney hydro nephrosis and Dr. Hyun has been an excellent Dr. My son was a pt. of hers in NY Presbyterian hospital and while she was there, personally was on top his care. Now at Mt. Sinai, she still calls me herself to follow up on my childs care and to schedule desired appointment screenings. i could'nt be more pleased with her attention.

Highly skilled surgeon and a great person. She performed my 7 year old daughter's UR surgery in 2010. She was wonderful at explaining our daughter's condition and the reasons why she needed surgery. Post surgery,she took our calls regarding bladder spasm pain...changed the form of meds and truly helped our daughter's recovery. Dr. Hyun is caring, professional and a gifted surgeon. Had consulted with 3 other top Ped Urologists and after meeting with her for a second opinion, I just knew.

Dr. Hyun was terrific. She made sure I had all the information to be able to make an informed decision, and although difficult, I felt that she was caring enough to make sure the procedure went well.
