Dr. Harold A Ballitch II, MD

The title says it all!

BEWARE! I was not a patient of Dr. Ballitch himself. However, his office staff and office manager were very misleading. I was told that my claim would be billed under Dr. Ballitch so that it would be covered by my insurance. I was told that everything was fine with my account. 4 years later I got a bill for $370. When I spoke with my insurance it was too late to appeal. The staff was very rude and would not help me at all. BEWARE! This clinic is misleading and does not care about its patients!

I went to Dr. Ballitch for 2 separate cataract surgeries. The first procedure went completely fine and I was very pleased with the outcome. However, on my second surgery there was much trouble with the lense he inserted not doing as it should. I know that complications can arise from surgery, but the follow up is what bothered me the most. I was having very bad pain in my eye from the compications and Dr. Ballitch never addressed the real problem but instead swept it under the rug. I didn't find out until moving to another location and seeing a different eye doctor, that my eye was severely damaged and I needed a complete corneal transplant. If I hadn't moved, I would probably still be masking the issue with my eye. I feel very hurt and saddened that Dr. Ballitch wasn't honest with me.
