Dr. Harold Vincent Lawson JR., MD

Dr Lawson has a very nice bedside manner, and is very personable. The problem is his practice does not follow up. My husband and I transferred to his practice after being recommended by a friend. We waited 6 months to be seen as new patients. We had tests done and both my husband and I had results which required either further tests or referral to specialists. We saw the results on our patient portals. I had to call the office 3 times to get any follow up, and the answer I got for my issue was “it’s probably ok, let’s follow up on six months. My husband has yet to get a call. After discussing the lack of follow up with another doctor, and learning my results should be explored now, not in six months, we decided we are going to leave his practice.

It took us months to find a new primary care doctor after relocating to the Richmond area. After choosing Dr. Lawson we had to wait 6 weeks, but we're very happy we did. He is great listener and a thorough doctor with a great "bed side" manner. Won't be looking for a new doctor anytime soon.

Best Doctor I have had in a long time. Takes the necessary time. Listens and answers questions. Obviously very competent. Accurately diagnosed my problem and dealt with it immediately.

I have been setting Dr. Lawson for about a year more. I always have a good experience. He is always prompt and courteous. I have recommended him to family and friends. Very thorough and comprehensive physician. They also have a patient portal, which is very useful for communication for routine questions.
