I would not recommend this Dr. He likes to flip meds, then take your child to a Behavioral clinic. Pay them to evaluate what he could not!

Dr. Héctor Deleon is the first psychiatrist I saw when I moved to Mount Dora, Florida In 2016 to present. I am a New Yorker and ran a Behavioral Health Center in Brooklyn, NY for 28 years. I can say with confidence that Dr. H. DeLeon is an excellent psychiatrist he listens to concerns and provides quality patient care. I recommend him without hesitation.

Dr DeLeon is the best psychiatrist I've ever been to. It took him about 3 minutes to diagnose me better than anyone done. He is very good at his job. I thank God I found this man.

Do not seek this Dr. He is only interested in medicating heavily your child.

He did not pay attention to the fact that the medicine given to my son was too strong and needed to change it. I just stopped taking him there.

I wouldn't see tis dr. again if my sanity depended on it! I'd been seeing Dr. Pillai, (highly recommend!) but he moved practice to Clermont. I had the option of seeing 1 of his colleagues, l was told by central office for Advanced Behavioral Center, that he accepted my ins., so expected just a co-pay as before. My 1st (only!) visit his recpt. to me the bill was $275.00! He billed me as both initial and established patient, he had Dr. P's notes, upset, l paid $125. cash l had. and could pay total next visit. Dr. DeLeon saw me fo exactly 10 mins., using some time to talk negatively about Dr. P. He asked how l was doing and continued previous meds. Done!. Before next visit, l received a bill with a late charge 0f $50. on top of The $150! The night before next visit l was rushed to hosp. for serious procedure, believe me, it wasn't planned! So, I missed visit, in hosp. 4 days; called 1st thing in a.m., explained, but he added $.50. no show anyway. So, he ended up charging altogether … $375.00 for about 8 min of useless crap. You decide!.

Dr. De Leon is extremely unprofessional. My first appointment, I waited 45 minutes to be seen. At each appointment, expect to wait to be seen. When I called his office to advise I was having an adverse reaction to a medication he prescribed, he NEVER called me back. I ended up calling my primary care doctor.

A horrible doctor.

The Office Staff is very rude and condescending. Dr. seemed to be more interested in hows it going that finding and getting to the root of problems. Tried 5 different medications for my son. NONE worked effectively and it became a game or roll of the dice to see what we will try next. Will not return a phone call!!!!! Take your child to a witch doctor before going to this one!
