Dr. Henry Amdur, MD

Terrible bedside manner, no empathy, talked down to me. My regular OB is out injures so I agreed to see someone else in the practice. He never introduced himself, rudely asked me why I was there. I quickly asked him to stop the breast exam because he basically told me I was making things up. When I stopped at the desk to complain, they did not seem surprised.

he was amazing i had complications with my pragnancy at 6 months he was on top of it until i delieved a healthy baby,he did weekly check ups, altrasound and delievered my baby. special thanx to him and his wonderful service.

Dr. Amdur delivered my son 12 years ago when Dr. Marchand couldn't be with me. He helped me to become pregnant with my second child. He has been wonderful, taking lots of time to explain things and reassure me because it has been so long since my first. If you want a doctor to spend extra time with you, expect to wait longer to see that doctor. You are not the only one with questions for him.

I've been seeing doctor Amdur sense the birth of my first child 11 years ago. I have been trough numerous doctors prier to him. He is by far the best OB doctor I've ever had experience with. Yes sometimes you end up spending time in the waiting room, but he delivers babies at the local hospital. I don't at all mind if he would priorities the birth of someones child. I can only hope that he finds the fountain of youth so he can keep doing what he does for ever. Because he is the best there is.

Dr. Amdur was my doctor for years and always took excellent care of me. He delivered my first child and provided my prenatal care, including all the questions and concerns that come with a first time mother. He will not baby you but will most definitely treat you with a lot of respect. He performed my son's circumcision which came out perfect and spent lots of time chatting with my husband and me on rounds the days following the birth. After I moved I was home for a visit and had an emergency with my second pregnancy. He was very helpful and comforting as always.

I had a very high risk pregnancy, Doctor Amdur was very caring and stood by my side through the whole thing. He became more like a friend than a doctor. He is very professional and knows exactly what he is talking about, he even saw me when he had no time. My son would not be here today if it wasn't for him!

Dr.A has delivered both of my chidren one is now 21 and the other 12. I see him once a year and he is always so sweet. Great Dr. and to the lady who spoke of the death in his family it was his 19yr old daughter. I can't even imagine.

This doctor delivered my baby and when he did I was going to the clinic in L&M so I didn't really ever see him, he was just there for the delivery. I decided after the delivery when I needed to be seen by a gyno to go to him as my doctor, big mistake!!! If you like actually seeing your doctor then this doctor is NOT for you. My first appointment was on a beautiful Friday morning, I arrived to the office early like they told me to so I could fill out the paper work for a new patient. Upon my arrival I was informed that the doctor was not in the office today and some one had called me and left me a message asking me to reschedule. I got no call or message, then the receptionist proceeded to argue with me about getting a message. So, I did reschedule my appointment for the following week and was seen by him. I then made another appointment as a follow up, again on a Friday. I received a call the morning of my second appointment that the doctor was not in the office again and I needed to… reschedule. This is the second time in one month that this has happened. When I called them back they told me he had a death in the family. I understand having a death in the death but from the first time when my appointment was canceled I just told them I would no longer be coming to see Dr Amdur. I just moved to CT less than a year ago, moving from PA. The doctor I saw in PA I have been seeing for 11 years and not once did I ever receive a call that he needed to reschedule with me. I just find it funny that both times Dr Amdur needed to reschedule it was on a beautiful Friday. Take my advice find another doctor, cause this one SUCKS!!
