Completely overbearing jerk. Stay far away.

Womancare schedules you with different doctors throughout the pregnancy and this doctor was number three. I can go issue by issue that I had with him, but simply he had a superiority complex. A first time mother shouldn't leave their appointment in tears unless bad news was given. I have already complained with one of their nurses and have requested that he not be apart of my pregnancy going forward.

We met Dr. Dominic is today for my first OB appointment. I was excited to finally meet my Dr. and have our first appointment. I was looking for him to tell me how everything is going and what exactly I should be feeling-as this is my first pregnancy. He walked in staring at his laptop and said "everything looks normal, do you have any questions?" He didn't examine me at all, or tell me what I should be doing/feeling. I felt like I didn't know what to ask on the spot! All of his answers were 1 or 2 words.. and he wouldn't even look at me or my husband!! He totally stared at his laptop the whole time. I was extremely disappointed with his manors and how impersonal the visit was. I would not recommend him to any first time moms.

Dr Dominicis and his staff are the best! I have been a patient of his for 20 years and would never go to any other dr.!

Dr. Dominicis was one of the five OBs I saw at Womancare during my pregnancy. He happened to be the doctor at the office during three days I spend having on and off contractions at 39 weeks. Being a first time mom, I didn't know what normal labor was like. He kept telling me I had to wait it out, even though I was exhausted and hadn't slept. He was fixated on not sending me to the hospital until my contractions were 5 minutes apart. When he finally acquiesced, after my husband said something to him, I got to the hospital and was 6cm dialated. Anyway, I thought he had a terrible bedside manner and was very glad he was not the doctor on call at the hospital when I delivered.

When I first met with him we had a consultation in his office and he seemed like he had a great bedside manner and was interested in what I needed in a doctor. After the conversation, he seemed fit. It was when I went into the actual room where the doctor performed a routine annual procedure is where I was stumped. I've had a male doctor in the past in which there was a nurse always present in the room. Not this room. I thought well it's been a few years and maybe that's not required now a days? Maybe it never was but that's not what I was used to. So you can see why what I'm about to tell you next would be traumatic for me, personally... While my legs were in the stirrups and he had already done the Pap smear and pelvic exam, he began to visually exam the outside, while he was "down there". I say visually examine because he then place his hands (thumbs maybe?) on the inner part of my thighs and began to spread my lips. In doing so, he caused my skin to over stretch around my… clitoris area in which I felt so much pain from pulling my skin! Like it was about to be ripped! I pulled my legs together and yelled "ouch!" He then put the cloth back down over my legs to cover me and proceeded to say everything seems fine. He left the room shortly after. Now why would he even attempt that and what the heck was he looking for? I felt so violated and uncomfortable and confused that I was too embarrassed to ask him what that was all about and at the same time embarrassed for him.. Needless to say I had never been back.

I had a procedure 3 years ago , that was suppposed to be an outpatient procedure (removal of fibroids from uterus). It turned into 3 days within intensive care. Somehow during the procedure, I developed plumonary edema, which typically occurrs in older individuals or perhaps individuals with heart problems. I was in my mid 40's and had never had any "heart related" issues to explain this consequence. After the surgery, which was very disturbing, no one would tell me what happened to me. Finally, Dominicis appeared in my room with a big smile on his face, telling me "he did a great job". He didn't volunteer information about the incident. I had to ask him and his response was that I had some "problems breathing". This is not an accurate explanation from an experienced doctor. Something clearly went wrong and he was trying to "minimize" and dismiss what happened. Not only that, while I was at the hospital, it was determined, I did not have heart problems. Furthermore, he never… followed up and checked on my status again. Not a recommended practioner if you are looking for someone that is accurate, honest and has genuine concern for the patients.

Dr. Dominicis is my primary OB/GYN and my preference of all the doctors at Womancare (Dr. Albion is also very thorough and caring). Dr. Dominicis exudes a sense of caring and compassion that I appreciate, especially in light of my difficult pregnancy. He has always taken the time to answer my questions thoroughly and I have never felt that he was dismissive.I have experienced double-bookings with him at times, and if I get there second, I tend to have to wait a long time in the room.

Met with Dr Domincis on the round of doctors at WomanCare while expecting my first child. Another doctor at that practice is my primary GYN. Dr Dominicis is very skilled and did my amnio without issue. I met with him a few times while being rotated through the doctor mix, and I felt he could be a bit dismissive when I had questions related to my care. He seemed better when it was just a 'routine' visit, but not as helpful when asking questions on how my spinal condition history may impact a pregnancy.
