Dr. Henry Lewis Kearse, MD

Didn't thoroughly examine my skin issue and miss diagnosed a facial growth as acne that was cancer. Because of his ineptitude I lost a portion of my face and maybe eventually my life. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR

Terrible scheduling and not there for you in an emergency. Very disappointed

My and I have been patiets of Dr. Kearse for over 15 years. Even after moving 200 miles away, we still return to him for our dermatology care and treatment.

I went to Dr. Kearse for a wart on one of my right finger and on my left leg. He looked at it for a few seconds and wrote a compound that I need to take twice a day that is available on over ther counter. When the bill finally arrived he charged "a LASER SURGERY for the removal of wart" which cost $209 and and office visit for $146.00. Total charged was $355.00 for 5 minutes of his time. Based on the previous reviews, this doctor is known for charging services that he never performed. This is exactly why our health care in such a sad shape. This doctor knows that the insurance will pay and most patients do not reviews the bills. He needs to be stopped for charging the insurance for the services that his patients never received.

I have been going to Dr. Kearse for several years now for multiple skin issues and I recommend him to everyone. His staff was very polite and professional and made each visit go by without any complications. Dr. Kearse was very passionate about working with me and he was very easy to talk to when explaining treatments for my skin. Go to Dr. Kearse if you or a loved one has any sort of skin problem. You will not be disappointed.

The staff went out of there way to be kind and supportive as well as Dr. Kearse. Fine staff and office. Spoke directly to me about my fears for my sons and took the time to listen and provide excellent service. I was more than pleased with this Doctor his nurse and the staff in general. We drove from Chapin, SC for this visit and I had many qualms (from the reviews I had read, to the care for my son) and all were put to rest.

If you want to read our experience you can, but here is the summary. I have great respect for doctors (my father and sister are doctors), but when you get a bad one... one that doesn't care, it is our duty to say something.THis doctor is full of himself. He treated my wife horribly and never answered any questions, just handed her a sheet of paper with all she needed to know (of course they didn't). He billed us for treatment he did not perform (we are reporting him to the board at the moment). He never stayed longer than 5 minutes to look at my son and was gone... My son has a molescum (we think). Our pediatrician suggested going to Dr. Kearse. My wife has gone for a total of 5 visits and each time was the same. Average wait time, but when the doctor came in the average visit from the five times she was there was less than 5 minutes with the doctor. On her first visit, our son had 5 total molescum bumps. We asked the doctor to take them off to prevent them from spreading. … He prescribed a cream and told my wife to schedule a new time to review what had happened. When she asked what to do to keep them from spreading, he handed her a sheet and walked out of the room without saying a word. She scheduled a new time 2 weeks later and nothing had happened with the use of the cream (this is not the doctor's fault). One bump had really grown and we asked for all of them to be removed. He recommended taking off the biggest, he is the doctor and knows best and so my wife agreed. She rescheduled. By the next visit, the molescum had grown on all of the bumps and had multiplied. He just took off one (never biopsied it, so we don't know if it is molescum) and said the others needed to come off, but to try something called beetle juice to get rid of the others without having to cut them off. We were excited, because finally our son would be rid of this stuff and be able to play with his friends. She scheduled a new time.She went in this time and got our son undressed, the doctor came in put something on our son and realized it was the wrong bottle...! And what they needed they were out of, even though they had had ample time to make sure they were prepared from the last visit. My wife rescheduled... Dr Kearse said he wouldn't charge for that visit, since he hadn't done anything (I am holding the bill now from that visit... meaning, he charged!).The last time we went to this doctor, he had everything in and started working on our son. Of course no 1 year old wants to sit in place, and had a fit. Not something that was really a problem, but the doctor said he had tried and gave up after dabbing 6 bumps with beetle juice (he gave up before getting to the 4 minute mark). He billed for this as well. Now my son has over 70 molescum bumps and it might be impossible to get rid of until they just go away by themselves. I should also say that each time, my wife had to take off from work to come in for appointments, which is lost earnings for herI have potentially over $2000 in bills in my hand and my son is scarred from the first ointment they put on him by accident. Luckily we don't have a problem paying, but if you do... think twice before your come here. I welcome the doctor to contact us to make amends and I will remove this post. I would just like to see that a doctor cares about his/her patients.
