Dr. Hera V Stephens

I visited with Dr. Hera Stephens today and it was a complete waste of time. She's more interested in showing you how much she knows and how much you don't know than she is diagnosing your issues. I didn't even want to see a neurologist but my cardiologist recommended I see one based on my symptoms and past brain injuries. She didn't ask me any questions, ran me thru the motor skills test (which I had done 5 minutes prior with a student) and told me what my cardiologist told me and my doctor told me was "impossible". Dr. Stephens, If you read this, I recommended you quit and choose a new profession NOT involving PEOPLE. I have NEVER had such a bad experience.

I visited her for my Postherpetic Neuralgia, which I've had for over a year now. After giving her a short summary of my experience getting shingles and then the PHN from it, she asked me what I was there for. I told her I was looking for a doctor to help me heal from this awful pain. She then proceeded to tell me how my Neuralgia wasn't progressive, it wouldn't get any worse, and that she had patients with progressive neuralgia whose pain continued to get worse. She said there was nothing she could do for me, except change my medications. She was very cold and made me feel like a nuisance when all I was trying to do was to heal back to normal. She is an awful doctor and I will not go back to see her. If this is what they are teaching, we are in trouble.
