Dr. Baldwin attended McGill University in Montreal for his undergraduate work in neuroscience and the physiological basis for behavior. He completed medical school at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. In 1986, he began his residency at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix and served a research fellowship at a leading skull-base neurosurgery lab at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He began practicing medicine in Tucson in 1992. Dr. Baldwin is board certified in neurological surgery.

It has been nearly 3 years since Dr. Baldwin performed a laminectomy and discectomy in my lumbar region, when I was nearly 76 years old and dealing with CLL leukemia. Following his instructions for PT,and later exercise on my own, I can fairly say that he has given me back my life. Every morning when I bend down to put on my slippers without pain, I thank God and Dr. Baldwin for delivering me from 30 years of uninterrupted lower back pain. JDS Green Valley, AZ

After reading my full-spine MRI Dr. Baldwin told me all he would do is have me wear a cervical collar, meaning i would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of my life. After a second opinion from doctors at Neurosciences, I had major spinal surgery [multiple fusions] and I am now walking again. Dr. Baldwin promised me a face-to-face meeting to explain huis decision not to operate, but repeatedly failed to show up. I never did see him. Avoid Dr. Baldwin. See Dr. Callahan at Neurosciences instead.

Dr. Baldwin has been my surgeon for 14 years. He has performed 4 cervical fusions and 1 lumbar fusion on me. He's an excellent neurosurgeon and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a compassionate doctor with an excellent bedside manner.

Dr. Baldwin has been my doctor for more than 10 years and has performed several surgeries on me. He has saved my life on 2 occasions.

Dr. Baldwin is an excellent surgeon, he removed a herniated disk 18 years ago and today I am pain free and 100 percent mobile.

Dr. Baldwin has operated on me numerous times, and I have always benefited greatly afterwards. He has improved my quality of life. He, and his staff have been there for me when I needed them. I can't say enough about Dr. Baldwin and his team. I highly recommend them.
