I was admitted to northwest hospital five years ago dr chia consulted and told me I just needed a spinal injection for pain he consulted a year old mri the pain was excruciating finally I went to neurosurgeons at banner university medical center before I could be seen I had to get anew mri the infection in my back was so severe that the radiologist told me to get to the hospital immediately where I was found to have a massive infection that was actually in the spinal cord itself it was mrsa with osteomyelitis the neurosurgeon said it is rare for it to be in the actual spinal cord itself oh I also went back to dr chia a year ago didn’t know who he was till I pulled old files and saw him for second opinion he told me the second time there was nothing wrong with my back I was just overweight and he wasn’t nice about it which is almost funny because he is very overweight but what worries me about his practice is that he is arrogant and hurts people oh update o got a second opinion from… Mayo Clinic and the neurosurgeon agreed that there was a Lot of damage to my back from the undiagnosed infection and I am scheduled for surgery with mayo which is one of the.best diagnostic hospitals in the world I would never let anyone I care about go to him he is arrogant and dangerous

Excellent procedture

Extremely unsatisfactory experience.

Very poor experience with Dr. Chua. He was very short an discourteous in his behavior in explaining the poor prognosis of my condition. No person deserves to be spoken to that way, especially a patient with a problem. He was in a hurry throughout my visit and did not take any time to explain my condition. I wish I had never gone to see him for an opinion.

Dr. Chua truly cares. Spends all time you need to explain options. Doesn't take surgery lightly... wants patients to seek all other options first. He is deeply concerned, and his work is thorough and excellent. Highly recommend!

After referral by my primary doctor, I waited for more than a week for a call back from Dr. Chua. It never came.When my primary doctor calle Dr. Chua to get some response, I received a brief phone call from his office stating that there was nothing they could do for me. They gave me no information about my back condition, what activities I could or could not undertake, or what other types of specialists or therapists I might go to for help.It took over a week to receive this notification, during which I had to forgo my own consulting work due to back pain.

Dr. Chua repaired my herniated disk. I can't say enough good about this talented and very kind man. He explains eveything in understandable detail and will give you the very best options and advise. I have absolute trust in him and have highly recommended him to friends. Thank God and Dr. Chua, I was instantly free of pain after the procedure.

I have been through multiple procedures and have had alot of physicians. Dr. Chua took the time to explain and make me feel comfortable. Allowed me to ask the questions and he answered them showing pictures and explaining in detail. Never felt uncomfortable and always felt I could question anything without getting attitude back. I am now going back since I have new problems and would like only the best to handle.
