Dr. Ingeborg Elisabeth Kirch, MD

My mother just had one visit with Dr. Kirch for her wet macular degeneration to get eye shots, and it was the first time she was given a shot in each eye on the same visit so she didn't need to go back the next week for the other eye. It was also the first time she had no pain with either shot. Dr. Kirch was very kind and knowledgeable and answered all our questions and we were looking forwarding to our next visit with her, but found out she is no longer working at Anderson. Temendous loss to us and Anderson! :(

Dr. Kirch was available to perform surgery on my son Mario's eye the day before Thanksgiving. He suffered an accident while on vacation in Arizona. On the night before we were to leave to come home, he was in a courtyard at a local hotel when he bent down to remove a stone from his shoe and lacerated his cornea. It was dark, he never saw the dangerous plant and was poked in the eye by an Agave plant. The razor sharp needle pierced the globe of his eye and Doctor Kirch performed surgery the next day to save his eye. We were most impressed by the response and treatment after surgery. On Thanksgiving Day Dr. Kirch opened her office to follow-up on the procedure and check on his progress. He was not out of the woods yet, the eye was still leaking and the pressure was still too low. Dr. Kirch was reassuring and opened her office up once again the following day to check on the progress. On the second day after surgery the eye had stopped leaking and the pressure had stabilized. We… stayed in Arizona a week longer than originally planned and all the while we visited and talked to Dr. Kirch. She answered every call, responded to all our concerns and helped reassure us that our thirteen year old son was going to keep the sight in his injured eye. Thank you Dr. Kirch!!!

Doctor ran up the bill on laser treatment only did short treatments of 15 minutes per eye. Got a second and third opinion from other retina specialists who both questioned why she only did a limited laser treatment. Had both eyes treated by another retina specialist with other treatment options, not surgery that she wanted to do, result vision has improved and retina detachment has been controlled.

Dr. Kirsch took 3 weeks to get records from PCH and my child's Pediatrician. I had to call the office 3 different times to make this happen. Now, she was supposedly going to contact pediatrician to order labs, 1.5 weeks later, the pediatrician has no record of her calling to contact them. very poor response time. I feel like I have to stay on the ball and make sure she is doing what she says she is going to do! NOT HAPPY!

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Kirch, she's the best. I feel fortunate to have her as my doctor and I know the level of care is the very best. She is so caring and when your vision is at stake, the fact that she cares so much is so important. I have age related macular degeneration and I was terrified I would lose my sight, now I'm so at ease with my treatment and my vision has improved so much. It's really exciting. Thank you Dr. Kirch.

Thank you so much for being so caring, understanding,thorough,and professional. I was a long way from home, nervous, and upset. You calmed my fears in such a manner that really impressed me! I am now home in WI and have since seen my doctor here and all is well.
