Dr. Isaac Cohen, MD

For years I suffered chronic lower back pain but I’d be relieved once I sat or laid down until sciatica happened. I was using a walker in my home and went almost nowhere. I’d been to the largest Orthopedic Specialists group in CT but no help was found there. Just more pain. My wonderful PC recommended Dr. Isaac Cohen in Trumbull. I was desperate as my life had dwindled down to nothing. I went to see Dr. Cohen who first got rid of that sciatic pain and then moved on to RFA (Radio Frequency Ablation). I completed this pain free procedure last week and I am 90% better. I’m told it takes up to three weeks for the pain to completely subside but I’m already almost all the way there. It’s as if a miracle was performed. I can’t believe I was actually using a walker. I had one I my car too for emergencies. Not anymore. I’m thrilled to no end and can hardly stop telling everyone. He is the best doctor I’ve experienced in my 68 years. How impressed I was at the professionalism during RFA. The… precision team, lead by Dr. Cohen, communicated like a fine tuned symphony orchestra. It was and is truly amazing. The suffering is over. I am forever grateful.

I recently saw Dr Cohen for an increase in my chronic back pain. I was very impressed with the efficiency kindness of his office staff. I found Dr Cohen to be an outstanding and knowledgeable physician. He obviously loves his work and likes caring for people. He clearly and patiently explained my condition and options answering all me questions. Within 3 weeks of my first visit I had an MRI and received an epidural injection. The first time in years I’m walking with little to no pain. Thank you Dr Cohen

Frustrated and losing hope after over a year of unbearable lower back pain and fruitless consultations with neurologist, neurosurgeon, rheumatologist, and physical therapists, I finally found Dr. Cohen. I was able to get an appointment within the week and Dr. Cohen resolved the problem after 3 visits, an MRI and a painless procedure. I was immediately impressed by his comprehensive and careful approach to identifying the cause of my pain and resolving the problem in a manner that would bring relief in the least invasive and most effective way. He listened to me and did not dismiss anything I said (I tend to ramble). I felt comfortable asking as many questions as I needed about his diagnosis and recommended treatment. The staff and assistants I encountered in the practice were always very helpful and friendly. I recommend this Dr. without any hesitation.

Dr. Cohen is kind, gentle and caring. My lower back pain was 95% resolved by radio frequency ablation. I am extremely please with the results. I would recommend Dr. Cohen to patients with back pain.

I am grateful to Dr Cohen for eliminating my pain in my back. He has saved me from surgery. I would recommend that if you are considering surgery, go see him first.

I have many issues with my back and was in great pain. I have scoliosis, arthritis and bulging discs. Dr. Cohen treated me for 10 years with shots & nerve destructive radio waves until, with age, the structural problems in my back would no longer respond to his treatment. He is a brilliant doctor who is patient and very willing and able to explain my condition and what treatment he proposed to use and why.
