Ivy Gugat MSN, PMHNP-BC understands that asking for help can feel nerve-wracking, so she’ll try to put you at ease by meeting you where you are and putting you in the driver’s seat of your treatment plan. She’s ready to join your team and get to work, which will begin by setting goals and determining how you’d like to measure your progress toward meeting them. Together you’ll build a comprehensive plan that includes a combination of therapy, medications, exercise, diet/nutrition, and spirituality. Sessions may involve some laughter, too, as Ivy believes it has healing power.Ivy mostly uses person-centered therapy, feeling that any plan, even the most detailed, will fail if all team members are not on the same page. She’s also a proponent of integrative therapies, such as nutritional supplements, exercise, and meditation. She works with her patients and any other providers they have to develop a comprehensive plan to optimize their physical and mental health. Ivy’s education and …working experiences include nursing, mental health (inpatient psychiatry as well as outpatient), and trauma-focused positions.
