Dr. Jack Douglas Smith, MD

This doctor is way to old to be operating today. I'm guessing that he has to be in his late 70's and just does not appear to be up to date with todays techniques. Seemed liked a nice old grandfather.

I visited this doctor and the first thing to jump out at you is that they had a dog in a crate in the office. I’m assuming it was the doctors dog because why would he allow an employee to bring an animal to a office. He was running late which isn’t unusual but when he came in he was more interested in where I was from and who I knew in common. Started telling stories that had no relevance to anything. He even went so far as to ask for my phone number when he found out I work on tractors. Apparently he has a tractor that needs work?? Very strange visit.

Time has passed this doctor by. Really not up to date on today’s techniques in my humble opinion

In my opinion this doctor cares more about his cottage on deep creek and his vacation home in Florida than he does for his patients. He treats you once and then us gone for weeks at a time traveling. He loses focus on you and rambles on about Pitt football, his vacation homes and his swimming pool problems. If you call excela they will tell you it will be months before you can see bellicini but smith can see you in 10 minutes....after visiting him you will realize why he is available...

Truly the most nicest and compassionate doctor I have ever been to

5 months after Dr. Smith did my right hip surgery, I could not bear any weight on my right leg and was in awful pain. He xrayed it and said it is fine. Nothing wrong with your new hip. However I walked for the next 2 years with crutches and in extreme pain. As of last week, I had my right hip revised by another Dr. Thank God, my mobility is coming back everyday and my pain has gone. The hip Dr. Smith put in had loose a cup and the stem came right out after new Dr touched it. I also had a cracked femur. I would not reccomend Dr. Smith. He had no sympathy for my pain or discomfort and basically I lost 2 years of my life.

Dr. Jack Smith is a great doctor and treated my grandmother. She was always so pleased with his care. I would recommend him to anyone.

A very personable Doctor. Good at his special specialty.

Wrong diagnosis delay in care and lack of fill up till I called him after tests and visits never going back to him again
