She was asking me questions about my job while probing my uretha...not good

Hands down the best around. I live in western mass and drive 1.5 hours to Emerson to keep her as my Doctor. I think that says it all...

She sent me straight to ICU after she performed my surgery and had to have an emergency surgery from another doctor at 3 a.m.

She likes to make it a practice to never personally "speak" to a patient directly. When you call with a problem, a technician(nurse??) takes the call and "summarizes" it and leaves a note to Dr. Brecht in the system. Everything the patient says to the technician about the problem they are having is COMPLETELY GARBLED BY THE TECHNICIAN. Dr. Brecht then periodically looks at her "notes" from her technician, and writes a response back to the technician, specifying her thoughts. The technician then calls you, and relays the message from the doctor. Terrible system! Terrible doctor, AVOID!!!! Very condescending! Her main goal as a "physician" seems to be "get them in" and "get them out" as soon as possible! Orders lots of tests and then doesn’t get back to you about the results of the tests. You are forced to make appointment after appointment to figure out what is going on. If she would just speak directly to you this could be avoided! But NO, she would never “lower herself”… to talk directly to a patient! Shockingly bad! I could go on and on, and probably should to save other people, but enough said, STAY AWAY!

Dr Brecht speaks to u as a patient not a medical degree. She's very sensitive to your situation in hand unlike must doctors. It's sad that she's leaving the Spfld area, but happy that she's moving forward with her career. I wish her nothing but the best

VERY unprofessional service of staff and doctor. Never returned phone calls unless they want you to go back and do more testing. Won't give test results unless you go for another appointment Basically to keep getting money from insurance. Would never recommend to anyone.

Dr. Brecht is brilliant. She found my cancer after many other Doctors dismissed me. Her staff is outstanding! Tanya and Mary are a wonderful team. They answer all questions and concerns with compassion and professionalism.

I recommend her to everyone!

I really enjoy seeing Dr. Brecht. Professional and human at the same time. I was treated for Prostate Cancer, Dr. Brecht's manner made me at ease, I was treated with care and respect by the entire staff.

seems nice to your face. but just outside the door she laughs and made fun of me. very poor attitude. never returned a call. i hada severe pain with catheter..and the nurse that i was told cindy would help me. well they sent someone i never saw she never said a word to me, chewed gum and yanked out the catheter. it was horrific. horrific. so the nurse came back in to put another one in. and they called me for a week and i would not answer them they kept laughing in the phone and saying you are aware that you have a catheter on. duhhhh. the er helped me. never go their again. never. i cried everytime.
