Summary
Before joining Southern Eye Associates in August 2009, Dr. Bostrom earned his undergraduate degree from Furman University and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He served his transitional internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and recently completed his ophthalmology residency at the Dean McGee Eye Institute. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, AOA Medical Honor Society, and the Christian Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Bostrom spent his early childhood as a missionary kid in Brazil. He has a passion for the Lord's work both here and abroad. He is married to his college sweetheart, Cara, and they have three wonderful and spirited children, Cole, Claire and Jonathan. He enjoys hiking, Furman Athletics, and wrestling with his kid.
