Dr. James Thaddeus Coin, MD

Dr. Coin is simply put, brilliant. Not only did he diagnose an issue for me that four neurologists in Cambridge & Boston couldn't (including the 'top guy' at the renowned Mass General Hospital), he caught a serious misdiagnosis for a dear friend and aided a relative to understand the ramifications of an inherited B12 deficiency. The combination of having both the Ph.D. and the M.D. has led Dr. Coin to look for the unexpected diagnosis, to approach symptoms as a scientist, to accurately read 'the films' of MRIs & CTs and not rely on the radiologist's report, and to gently and kindly explain his diagnosis. He is kind, generous with his time, and an unusually gifted physician. His wife is his office manager and she is just wonderful.

Dr. Coin is a great listener and an outstanding neurologist. He always listens patiently to anything I have to discuss with him and he always has more than one option for treatment. I never have to wait more than a few minutes for any visit, and I have found his staff to be outstanding. Eleanor has been especially helpful in answering questions and forwarding my issues to Dr. Coin. She is a real pleasure to work with.....as is ALL the staff. I couldn't hope to find a better neurologist. Very easy to give Dr. Coin and his staff 5 STARS!

Very skilled, caring neurologist.

Brilliant very kind Neurologist with excellent bedside manner. Listens to me and answers all my questions. Never rushes through my appointments. Staff is kind and very helpfulhelpful but I will say this is my opinion after some time has passed. He is very thorough and cares about his patients. I say this with 7 years as his patient.

His staff is what brings his service down. I have been going to him for 2 years now and tried to re-schedule an appointment and played phone tag for weeks with them. Then when trying to get a prescription re-filled she said I would have to come in that day in 2 hours or would have to wait until after the holidays. Who puts you on a medicine that makes you sick if you can't take it and then says enjoy your holiday without it. Horrible place. And Dr. Coin had no idea about migraines.

VERY PROFESSIONAL

Dr. Coin is the greatest. He listens to me, answers all of my questions, and explains things with patience and respect. He takes the time to listen to me, unlike other doctors I've seen. Some other negative reviews on here are unfair, like the one for Julie (the nurse practitioner) who only saw migraine patients and isn't with the practice anymore.

Staffing changes lately, all good. He's an excellent doctor with excellent patient care!

Dr. Coin was recommended to me by family and friends. He lived up to his reputation as not only highly knowledgeable, but extremely caring. He spent more than an hour and a half with me going over my symptoms and tests results. I am extremely confident in his diagnosis and his treatment. Wilmington is lucky to have such an excellent physician.
