Dr. James David Crowther, MD

Dr.Crowther did an excellent job replacing my left knee. He takes time to talk with you, making sure you understand every procedure. He also has done injections in both knees and in one shoulder which helped greatly. He uses ultrasound to guide the needle and is expert in doing it.

Dr. Crowther has treated my arthritis of the knees for years and recently completed rotator cuff surgery. Spends the time with you to make sure you understand what's going on and what to expect. He's the best!

I can't say enough good things about Dr Crother. He listens! He discusses options. Wonderful bedside manner. Has always managed to fit me in if I develop a problem. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes. I have NEVER recommended a Dr before. But then I've never been to one like him.

I met Dr. Crowther the Tuesday before Thanksgiving at the emergency room as the ER doc was having me prepped for surgery for a hip fracture. Dr. Crowther arrived in the nick of time to say that my range of motion indicated I didn't need surgery and sent me home with instructions to stay off my leg and visit his office as soon as the holiday was over. Indeed, I had a non-displaced fracture--the only kind of fracture, he said, that doesn't require surgery. So my first meeting with him was like the sun coming out on a very cloudy day!He is very personable, easy-going, open-minded and efficient. He has been wonderful throughout my recovery and in helping me with some unrelated knee problems.I highly recommend him!

I have had 2 hip replacements completed by Dr. Crowther. Each one went very well. He spent a tremendous amount of time going over the pro's and con's and explained in detail what was going to be done. I hope not to be seeing him anytime soon, but if something comes up I will definitely use him and refer others as well.
