Dr. James Mitchell Gordon, MD

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Gordon to establish care. His office staff called me 2 hours before my appointment to tell me he 'does not do second opinions and I will be canceled'. I explained that I am looking to establish care, not just get a second opinion. I went back and forth, but eventually was told I can keep the appointment. 10 minutes later another person from his staff calls to tell me the same thing. I re-iterate what I told the first person and told this person I already had this conversation. She told me because I was seen by another GI doctor at another clinic previously, it's considered a second opinion and I will be canceled. Appointment is canceled and removed from my Banner portal. 20 minutes later the 'Lead MA' calls me and leaves a VM that she needs to speak with me. I call her back to be told the same thing a third time. I was advised to 'go to the hospital er downtown and ask for a specialist as the doctor reviewed your chart and there’s nothing he can… offer you.” Unprofessional and uncaring staff and doctor.

Horrible receptionists, medical assistant, office staff! Doctor shows no interest in talking about your issues. Just wants to send you for expensive tests and put you on expensive medicine
