Dr. McCarthy took care of my daughter over a decade ago and I still remember his kindness and professionalism. I am so grateful for everything he did for us. Thanks to him, my daughter is an active, healthy young woman. Her injury was pretty severe and I know that his skills and abilities are what allowed her to heal so well. Every time I see something about Children’s Hospital I think of him and the rest of the amazing staff that took such good care of us.

I think his location has moved. He was at UW Childrens hospital, in Madison Wisconsin. I have hip dysplaysia. He did a Ganz Osteotomy on my hip. I'm in my 30's. Didn't know that most surgeons wont do this procedure on obese(100 pounds overweight)smokers. Since he left. I had a new surgeon and at my 8 month follow up he took a look at my x-rays and showed them to me and the ones from 3 months prior and gave me the news that my hip was completely beyond fixing. It wasn't going to heal, it had and would continue to worsen.
