Dr. James W. Mcilwaine

Just left this so called doctor's office. His staff was polite (the only reason he is getting any rating). He has an unbelievable ego on him. He had the nerve to say that six other medical professionals (3 doctors & 3 nurse practitioners) plus a radiologist (whose specialty is to read catscans) had misdiagnosed me over the past two months. He stated that these professionals (anyone but him) didn't know what an ear infection looked like and constantly misdiagnosed them. He also stated that the radiologist completely misread my catscan although another doctor and two nurse practitioners had also looked at the catscan and saw exactly what the radiologist saw. Although he didn't know what was wrong, he knew it had absolutely nothing to do with my ears and everyone else was wrong. His solution was to send me home with steroids and pain meds (I refused) as well as for me to go get expensive, uncovered by insurance, unnecessary, and unproven TMJ surgery for the TMJ I've had for over 30 years… that has NEVER caused me to have acute long-term pain (and he had no proof or reason to believe it was causing it now... No tests, no questions, no diagnosis). Total waste of time and money. I'll be arguing him even being paid with my insurance company and Mercy. He did nothing and was completely unprofessional.

I can no longer breathe out of left side of my nose after he repaired it. Now have to have further reconstructive surgery for a huge amount of money. Looks awful too. Don't go for any plastic work there!
