Dr. Jason Lasseter Pittman, MD

Dr. Pitman is a gifted surgeon and I was so fortunate that he was able to get my life functions back.

My spine had become flat ("flat back syndrome") from previous back surgeries, due to electrocution injury. I could not stand longer than 15 or so minutes and walking was becoming a progressively impossible and extremely painful nightmare. In an 11- hour surgery, he and his team put my spine back in the "S" shape. Pain is minimal, I can walk and stand. He gave me my life back.

My wife has been dealing with back pain and our primary doctor who is with uab too told her she has bulging disk and bones rubbing together because the cartilage is gone she's had an MRI and the opinion was the same but this dr Pittman says nothing's wrong with her but she needs to loose weight she's not fat by any means but how do you diagnose without touching her back he in no shape form or fashion offered her a resolution to her problem except go to physical therapy and loose weight and come back in 3 months and he would determine if she needed a block this is not an episode of my 600lb life no compassion from this dr what so ever

Great Doctor, great staff! He fixed a problem that I have had for years, and nobody else would fix.
