South Carolina is more than where I live; it's my home. I was born and raised in Greenville, and I was fortunate to attend Clemson University and then the Medical University of South Carolina. After medical school, I completed both a residency and a fellowship out of state before practicing general surgery in both North Carolina and Tennessee. The entire time I was away, I knew I wanted to be back in the Palmetto state.
