I am 72 years old. My knees were bothering me. After 2 xrays Dr Meyers said I need two total knee replacements! I went to another surgeon and 6 xrays and an MRI later, I only need to have my meniscus repaired in both knees. I am so grateful I went for a second opinion, or I would have had 2 knee replacements unnecessarily!

Dr. Meyer acts like he is the top surgeon in the world. He is nasty and has a poor bedside manner. He told me that I was crazy because I was complaining of pain and I should see a psychiatrist. I went to Hospital for Special Surgery for a second opinion and had surgery there. Stay away from Dr. Meyer!!!

Worste orthepidic I've ever encountered. Unfortunately this creep operated on my knee. Had to go to another surgeon to get his butcher job fixed. He does not know what he is doing. He doesn't care about his patient's recovery just the money.

He did double hip replacements on me! I love him! I miss him since I've moved to Florida.

Went to office for a second opinion on my broken ankle. I brought in my MRI slides and written MRI report. Dr. Meyer didn't bother to look at my MRI slides. If he did, he would have seen that I had a fracture in my talus that went un diagnosed by the radiologist and previous doctor. Very disappointing. I assumed he didn't look at the slides given the very short time I was in the office. Lets assume he did look at the slides. That's bad too as it means he missed a glaring fracture that looked like a meandering river or a branch of the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately, my experiences with all orthopedists on Long Island and NYC have been pretty bad. They see you for a handful of minutes and I feel guilty and rushed if I try to ask any questions.

This man is totally incompetent and so quick to put you under the knife. Mis diagnosed me and operated regardless. When I didn't heal he never looked into finding out why, or bothered to research or ask his colleages how to help me. He just kept insisting it would take one more week. No regard for human life. You're nothing but a paycheck for Dr. Meyer. Get a second opinion. If I listened to Dr. Meyer's advice post op and did nothing but wait I would be crippled today. Luckily I found a top surgeon in NYC and he had to fix the mess that Dr. Jeffery Meyer made in my knee. What a horror show.

GET A SECOND OPINION! Be careful...Dr. Meyer will pour on the charm in the examining room. He will sound like he knows what he is doing but he is totally incompetent. This man should not have a license to practice medicine, and especially be performing operations. He is quick to diagnose and open you up with no regards to your true condition or the outcome. This review is long over due. He butchered my knee when I was a young 21 year old athlete. He promised I would be snowboarding 3 weeks after my surgery (no real qualified surgeon would ever make such a promise). 3 weeks came and went. My knee got worse as the days and weeks went on. Not once did he consult his colleagues as to why. 3 months later he was still assuring me that it was going to get better. I had to get my knee operated on again that summer by a qualified surgeon who had to clean up the mess he made inside my joint. Whats even worse is that a few weeks after my surgery with Dr. Meyer my mother had an operation… scheduled with him for her foot. She did not heal properly either. His bedside manor was horrific when she expressed sever pain post surgery. The doctors she saw afterwards said he never should have performed the procedure in the way that he did. This man does not know what he is doing. He has no regard for human life.

Dr. Meyer performed double hip replacements on me 12 years ago. I often forget that these aren't the hips I was born with! I feel he's a GREAT doctor. He's always been attentive, caring and courteous. I now live in Florida and miss having him as my doctor!

I can not say enough nice things about Dr. Meyer. He is the reason I can walk again after a horrific car accident in which I broke both legs including my left femur. He put me back together like Humpty Dumpty & now my legs are stronger than ever. Through the years,he has always healed me including 1 time when I didn't have insurance. I refer 20 people a year to him and he has healed them all. Best Dr. ever!!!
