Not good at assisting with follow up appointments after surgery besides MRI.

Could use more patience with patient

I suffered from back pain almost 13 years. I have had therapy, cortisone, braces, and 3 previous surgeries. I was given Dr.Cassidys number and also the many satisfied comments. He seen me, told me flat out I need another surgery and can guarantee it will fix me. When I woke from my surgery, I was immediately walking. The pain from surgery was very mild and moderate. I was off work 4 weeks. I returned to work, and can move like I was 20 again. No pain or numbness and just a huge burden lifted. I move great, and was so impressed by Dr Cassidys character, style, and determination. He gave me my life back where I have no pain and just so happy I trusted his experience and his great bedside manners. I spread his name all over to everyone. This doctor has a heart and knows how to respect patients and explain in our terms. Thank you Dr Cassidy, you will always be my miracle worker. GREAT JOB!!

Thinking about this doctor...he did (2) lumbar back surgeries on my mom and both were unsuccessful. This was years ago...and I've recently read that he keeps getting best doctor awards out of Sarasota magazines. Is the same guy that treated the most wonderful woman of in the world ? My mom suffered till she passed away. He wasn't nice to her or my dad after and when we took her to another spinal specialist we were told something was put it wrong and it would take a major surgery to correct it. Well, she eventually died of something else and sad to say in much pain. Only suggest to do your research when looking for a spine surgeon. I wish there was another way to rate this doctor.

I had to have a 3 level fusion after a car accident. Dr Cassidy ignored my symptoms and my daughters symptoms(also in the accident). I would not recommend this doctor.

My Son has a serious back injury due to a workplace accident. He has been through over 1 1/2 years of workers compensation delays and denials. He was sent to Dr. Cassidy for an opinion on surgical intervention. Imagine my surprise when the Dr. barged in the room, said nothing, looked at the films, said nothing. Then said "this is a normal scan, there is nothing wrong". When asked how that was possible he replied, "It's N O R M A L" spelling it out for me. The radiological report stated the injury to be more sever with herniated and degenerated discs. The Dr. then proceeded to say he needed to go help patients that were worthy of his timeâ?¦ Needless to say, we have been seen by another Dr. after workers comp denied any further treatment and are following up on the nerve damage from the N O R M A L mri. What a jokeâ?¦ I have been in the professional medical field and have never seen such unprofessional behavior. I will be following up with the medical review board. Glad Dr. Cassidy has… such a nice relationship with his Workers Comp buddies.

He's an amazing doctor And took excellent care of me when you did my fusion in my Neck

I tried to get an appointment and was told they did not accept my Medicare Advantage plan insurance even though he accepts original Medicare. I need lumber surgery very soon due to severe stenosis. I have had two prior lumbar surgeries. His assistant agreed to ask him if he would see me. The answer came back "NO". I asked if there was a reason and was told he simply wrote "NO" on my folder. This is a rude, arrogant, and greedy way to treat patients.

Dr. is an excellent Dr. However His follow up was next to nil . He gave me a back brace for a compression fracture that would take 3 to 4 months to heal. He gave me only one month's pain medication and refused to authorize any refill of the pain medication even though I am still in pain and anticipate pain for the next three month's. He is an excellent surgeon but very poor on his patient care!

I don't really have anything positive to say about my experience with Dr. Cassidy's office. I found him and his staff to be rude.
