"I saw this physician for consultation on treating anxiety from job stress. He recommended TMS, which is expensive and not FDA approved for treating anxiety disorders. After my consultation, called the companies that manufacture TMS devices, my insurance company and got a second consultation. All three said TMS is not approved for treating TMS. The second physician explained some physician submit claims to insurance under depression treatment for non-FDA use on patients to get reimbursed for TMS. I definitely relieved that I sought a second option along with calling TMS manufacturers and insurance. It is a shame a physician would recommend a unapproved FDA and expensive procedure just to make money. I would get a second option along with calling TMS manufacturers and insurance, if this physician recommends TMS to you" Physician puts bill insurance for money before curing patient disorders.

Dr. Deirmenjian was unprofessional and lacked empathy during appointments. He was very condescending and misdiagnosed me during appointments. He did not voice mails left with staff. He was more focused on speaking to medicine representatives than seeing patients waiting in office for over 30 minutes. When I requested a copy of my medical file for my new provider, his staff told me my profile was deleted from computer and physical file destroyed at request of physician. My current physician has active and non active patient files, so they are available for patients. If you do not feel better after six months change providers and file a complaint with California Medical Board, so future patients will be treated properly. The excessive 5 star reviews with no comments may have left on behalf of physician to raise rating. Since seeing a new provider, I have fully recovered and told Dr. Deirmenjian was incorrect on his treatment plan. A patient should be healed by a provider quickly and have… a excessive years of patients still seeing them."

Dr. Deirmenjian is an amazing psychiatrist. He is humble, empathetic, and highly knowledgeable. I have been his patient since 2008. I moved to Northern California and stayed with him because he knows my health history and has earned my trust. My visits are more like "check-ins". He asks how things have been, and he remembers to ask about trivial things that even my PCP and specialists forget to remember. He is not afraid to say he does not know an answer to a question, and he stays atop new treatment and study options. I highly recommend Dr. Deirmenjian for your mental health well-being.

There is no privacy with Dr. Diermenjien as no separate waiting rooms, but all patients wait together. The appointments are rush and the is no follow up, when prescribed medicine. Also pushed expensive TMS therapy when it would not treat my condition per FDA. Please be aware you will become just a number once you start seeing Dr. Diermenjien, so double check with your primary physician on prescribed medicine to stay safe.

Dr. Deirmenjian is a wonderful psychiatrist! I have been seeing him for years now. He truly cares about you, as the client, and wants to help. He was able to find the correct meds for me and help me immensely. I absolutely recommended him!

I sought to see Dr. Diermenjien, but saw valid negative reviews and concerning lawsuits against him on seaches of internet. Also his misrepresenting he has privileges with UCLA Medical Facilities was concerning as a physician should not lie about his/her credentials to obtain patients.

I recommend that all patients ask for hard copies of your medical record monthly from Dr. Deirmenjian staff. It will allow you to review physician notes and diagnosis sent to insurance. If you decide to seek treatment away from John Diermenjien ask for a complete copy of your medical file before alerting his office that you are stopping treatment with John Diermenjien. I attempted to get a copy of my complete medical record after leaving John Diermenjien, but a Long Beach Office employee told me the electronic file had been deleted and hardcopy file was destroyed, so no records existed of my treatment with John Diermenjien. It sounded very strange that my electronic medical file was deleted erasing an record that I was treated by John Diermenjien, since probably took up very little space in computer system.

Dr. Deirmenjian IS NOT affiliated with either Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center or Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center as he lists on WebMD. He is very polite at first appointment, but then doesn't return calls, future appointments are very rushed so he can see excessive patients in a day. He submitted incorrect diagnosis of depression instead of correct anxiety diagnosis to insurance to justify expensive TMS treatment. Please call UCLA before seeing provider as he does not have privileges at any of their facilities. Also consult your primary physician before starting any medicines or TMS. The FDA and TMS manufacturer can confirm what TMS is not approved for anxiety, but primarily depression. Please clear any treatment with you primary care physician to ensure proper treatment for you. If you do not feel better after a few months seek a second opinion from another psychatrist as to not waste time trying to feel better.

Dr. Deirmenjian spent an average of 5 minutes with me, gave me a rx for one month's medication and sent me on my way. There was no privacy in his waiting room (no separate exit) and his staff lost my original appointment.
