Dr. John Thomas Edmonds, MD

Dr. John Edmonds is an ophthalmologist with nearly four decades of experience treating eye conditions and performing vision-restoring procedures. He earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed his residency training at LSU Health Sciences. With 39 years of practice, Dr. Edmonds has developed extensive expertise in comprehensive eye care. He is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing him to serve a diverse patient population.

Dr. Edmonds practices at multiple Tidewater Eye Centers locations throughout Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach, as well as Virginia Eye Consultants in Norfolk. He also maintains an affiliation with Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. His clinical focus includes treating cataracts and glaucoma, two of the most common vision-threatening conditions.
