Dr. John J Kachorek, PhD

Dr Kachorek gave me my life back. I cannot not be more grateful to him! He helped me through some very rough times in my life! I thank him from the bottom of my heart. Thanks to him I am in a very happy place today!

Dr. Kachorek is a disgrace to his profession, an impediment to justice, and a bane to children, families, and the courts which have repeatedly been obliged to reject his shoddy submissions. In our case, he point-blank refused to provide mental health services called out in the court order instructing him. As a direct result of Dr. Kachorek’s deliberate failure to obey the court’s directive, my son suffered with untreated ADHD for years afterward until I was able to get a competent psychiatrist to persuade my belligerent former spouse to reluctantly cooperate with me in getting our son tested. In addition, he ignored evidence that my former spouse was drinking in the afternoon while caring for my son alone. That evidence was in the form of her own hand written admission. He ignored her verbal confession to him of inflicting domestic violence on me. He also ignored her 14 written admissions that she was angry, and instead directed me to attend an anger management course that I… didn’t need. It gets worse. He actually fabricated false, preposterous, and highly prejudicial allegations that my former spouse didn’t even make an included them in his report to the court without discussing them with me. When confronted with his failures in the form of a demand letter, his response was to cower behind an attorney. This man has absolutely no backbone, ethics, or professional skills that I can discern. Working with this sleazy weasel was absolutely the worst decision I have ever made involving my son. We are both very glad that he can do no further damage to our family. I have lodged a complaint with the American psychological Association, and I would urge all of the others who are complaining about him on the Internet to do the same. Society and the court system would be much better off if this man’s credibility were destroyed.

My experience was consistent with the other reviews. Dr. Kachorek is either grossly incompetent, horribly corrupt, or both, and has damaged many innocent children and families throughout his career. Dr. Kachorek is a disgrace to his profession, a danger to children, a bane and impediment to the Family Court, and a menace to society. He has stubbornly refused to admit to or take responsibility for any of his miserable failures and/or illegal activities. Thankfully he no longer has a license to malpractice.

This person ruined my life with his totally conjured and biased evaluation of me. I lost custody of my young son due to his infatuation of my ex-wife. Two lawyers who read his evaluation said the only way he could have written his report contrary to my physiological test results is had had to be sleeping with my ex-wife. This man is the scum of the earth. Whatever you do, never contact this miserable person.

John J Kachorek is not an honorable or credible person, and he severely damaged my family and my young son in particular. If I had my way, this dangerous man would spend the rest of his life in jail and have NO contact with children whatsoever. Dr. Kachorek submitted false evidence to the Family Court. That is illegal. Fundamentally, his 50-page Report failed to satisfy the Court Order that produced it. The largely fictional Report was obviously incomplete, riddled with errors and misquotes, and so blatantly biased by the deliberate introduction of material that he knew or should have known was false, that I am convinced he must have been bribed with cash under the table. In addition, he failed to conduct a learning assessment of my son per the Court Order, which my ex wife had opposed for years. Eventually I found a competent psychologist to intervene on my son's behalf to overcome Dr. Kachorek's laziness and apathy and my ex wife's intransigence. By that time, my son… had suffered unnecessarily with ADHD for years as a direct result of Dr. Kachorek's incompetence, indifference, and failure to meet the explicit requirements of the Court Order calling for a learning assessment. In short, Dr. Kachorek is the worst thing that ever happened to my son. If you care about your family, keep them away from this treacherous man. I cannot overstate the damage that he did to our family.

John Kachorek has earned a terrible and well-deserved reputation for sloppy and unprofessional work. For example, some of the more fortunate families have been able to get his 730 evaluation thrown out of court entirely, and they only had to pay tens of thousands of dollars to have the repeated by a qualified professional. The less fortunate families have been stuck with garbage reports that a judge has used to determine future custody and other family matters. Of course, the outcomes in those cases are generally not good for the children, as was the case in my family. Not only is deaf, feeble old Dr. Kachorek incapable of helping families, but he also has the power and capability to do serious harm as he did to my family. He developed, or perhaps was bribed to adopt, such a strong bias toward one parent that a giant in the field read his report and said, "Where is the other half?" One parent had completely escaped scrutiny despite serious past problems with alcoholism and… domestic violence. I have had to live with that stupid outcome and try to get more time with the other parent.

This horrible man damaged my family and my young son in particular. He interrogated my son in a relentless and cruel manner, repeating the same questions until he elicited the answer that he wanted. He didn't treat me any better. He often seemed angry and deeply disturbed. His notes bore little or no resemblance to what actually took place during the sessions, and his reports were riddled with errors and false conclusions to the point of being nothing short of delusional. Do not let him anywhere near your family!
