Dr. John Jungkyum Kim, MD

Dr. Kim performed a hand surgery on my wife's right hand apparently under a wrong diagnosis so that the tendons got stuck with the palm skin causing severe pain. We went to South Korea to have a corrective surgery performed. We complained to Dr. Kim and he never admitted his wrong and did not recommend any corrective action. He basically told my wife to bear with the increasing problem. We consider such behaviors unsuitable to a professionally qualified surgeon. We will never visit him again and will not recommend him to anyone else.

Dr. Kim is a fabulous Doctor. Caring, kind and knowledgeble. He spends time explaining everything to you and I have never felt rushed. A+++

Dr. Kim put 9 screws and a plate in my ankle. I couldn't be more pleased with his work. Only problem is, I could be up in my airboot practicing putting weight on my ankle which he told me I could begin... except the first time I put my foot down it felt like broken glass and nails sticking up in my heel and the ball of my foot. Dr, Kim didnt warn me this could happen because my plantar tendon had been in the cast in a relaxed position and to suddenly put even a little weight would start this terrible pain and all the problems that go with it. My ankle is just like new. Dr. Kim knows what he's doing for sure but I wish I'd been warned.

I was referred to Dr. Kim, and was appalled at his curt, stoic, and overall disrespectful bedside manner. If you train in any kind of martial arts, and expect him to empathize or understand your way of life, don't visit him. He may be a good surgeon, but his ability to develop a rapport is negligible.
