Dr. John Paul Rutledge, MD

Dr. Rutledge is kind and thorough. He is hard to get in to see and his secretary is brisk. Because he is kind and thorough you have to wait a long time in the office to see him, always running late because he takes as much time as he needs with each patient.

Kind man who listens . He improved my self esteem and has helped me regain confidence in myself.

Great doctor. Caring and takes the appropriate time. My personal psychiatrist for about 16 years. Can't ask for much better care than Dr. Rutledge can give.

I have been under Dr Rutledge's care for nearly 25 years. He has saved my life. When one sees him, he gives them as much time as needed. When one is having a crisis he may talk with you for two hours, reviewing possible causes. A particular concern of his is change in generic medication brands. He always asks if there has been a change in what you med.'s looks. He keeps track of the quality of different brands and where one might find them. That has made a difference in my treatment. If necessary I would wait 6 hours to see him because he's always been there when I needed him. He also has a superior knowledge of medications and alternative treatment.

Dr. Rutledge runs late every time. I'm talking hours... I find it so rude! They don't even have a receptionist there to let you know what's going on, and how much longer you should expect to wait. People leave work early for these appointments people. This is such a shame bc he is a great doctor, but not worth the wait. A doctor that wastes my time is not for me.
