I had top surgery with Dr. Whitehead and his team at Restore Medical Center on November 13, 2025, and I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. From the very first consultation through surgery and follow-up care, I felt respected, supported, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Whitehead and his team are exceptionally skilled, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They take the time to listen, answer questions thoroughly, and explain each step of the process in a way that is clear and reassuring. I was always treated with dignity and respect, and it is obvious that they truly care about both the physical and emotional aspects of care. Dr. Ramirez was also wonderful. He was incredibly compassionate and took the time to walk me through the anesthesia process in detail. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, which helped ease my anxiety and made the entire experience much less stressful than it otherwise would have been. The surgical team and office staff at Restore Medical… Center were equally outstanding. Everyone was professional, kind, and welcoming. On the day of surgery, I arrived on my own, and despite that, I never once felt alone. The entire team made sure I felt safe, supported, and cared for at every moment. That level of compassion made a huge difference. Mandy, the surgical nurse, is a great sport and has an amazing spirit. Her kindness, humor, and positive energy made a stressful day feel so much lighter. Nicole, the patient coordinator, was absolutely amazing from the very first phone call to schedule my consultation all the way through surgery day and aftercare. She was always patient, kind, and understanding, and took the time to answer every question I had — whether by text, phone call, or email. Having that level of support made the entire process feel so much more manageable. Recovery was much easier than I expected it to be, and I am extremely happy with my results. I truly admire Dr. Whitehead’s precision and attention to detail, especially when it comes to scar placement and overall surgical outcome. The clinic itself is well organized, efficient, and runs smoothly. Communication was clear, instructions were easy to follow, and I always felt confident that I was in very capable hands. Choosing a surgeon is a big decision, especially for gender-affirming care, and I am incredibly grateful that I chose Dr. Whitehead and his team at Restore Medical Center. I had talked to Dr. Whitehead on the phone and via email about doing a re-circumcision to tighten my original circumcision. He answered all much questions promptly by email and I sent him photos of how I wanted the circumcision to look. After the consultation at his office on 4111 Biscayne Rd. I decided to go ahead with the circumcision in his office. Anesthetic was done by Dr. Ramirez and it was decided that Dr. Whitehead would do both a circumcision and a scrotal web reduction. The entire operation went smoothly and I had very little pain post surgery. I was prescribed some Tylenol for pain and some antibiotics. The office nurse, Anne, was also very nice and made me feel relaxed. Post operation, I was given the cell numbers to keep in touch with both Dr. Whitehead and Dr. Ramirez in case of emergency. So far, I am healing up nicely and am very happy with the results of the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Whitehead for his experience and professionalism.
