Dr. John Walter Winkler, MD

On his website, Dr Winkler reports to manage and treat dry eyes among other conditions. He does so by giving out a sample of eye drops that contain preservatives and irritate dry eyes. He has never offered me Restasis, punctual plugs, eye drops that do not contain preservatives or explain what contacts are best for dry eyes. He also made me wait for a very long time when he was already late for my appointment so he could talk to some drug representative. I hope for the sake of his poor patients that he retires very soon and does gardening and theater instead. I hope his doctors treat him the way he treated me - which is that they do not give a thing about him, just make money off him. What goes around, comes around!

I always wondered why Dr John Winkler barely talked to me during the visits but thought that meant everything was okay. Unfortunately, now I am dealing with very serious eye issues that have ruined my life, which could have been prevented by proper tests, diagnosis, treatment, and education. I am now managed by a top doctor at the university hospital and it's my biggest regret in life so far that I did not switch to him sooner.

Doctor is friendly and knowledgeable. Staff can be rude at times. Staff does not greet customers on the phone or say thank you. They hang up the phone very loud. I like Dr Winkler that is the only reason I go there.
