This physician is excellent!

Dr. Jon Mallen- St. Clair is an outstanding surgeon whose expertise and compassion are unmatched. He successfully removed a 10.1 cm encapsulated cancerous tumor from my face and neck — a complex procedure involving critical facial nerves and high risk of cancer cell spillage. Despite the severity of the case, he removed the tumor entirely, with no facial paralysis and no microscopic spread. My oncologist described the surgery as “nearly impossible,” and yet Dr. St. Clair delivered a flawless result. What sets him apart isn’t just his surgical skill — it’s his humanity. He is warm, attentive, and brings a calm, reassuring presence to every interaction. He made me feel heard, respected, and safe during a terrifying time in my life. With over 300 surgeries under his belt, his experience is evident, but he never loses his personal touch. Dr. Mallen-St Clair is an excellent doctor and has amazing "bedside manners." He always listens and answers my concerns in a thoughtful and compassionate way.

My concern about surgical margins was dismissed. I was told that it was "water under the bridge" and "specimen in the bucket". Dr. Sinclair's measure of success was that my facial nerve worked. My facial nerve worked before surgery. I felt that Dr Sinclair was unempathetic and not forthcoming.
