Dr. Mejia is the best Surgeon i have ever delt with in 55 yrs of my life. Dr. Mejia did my Colostomy in 2013 by the next day of my surgery I was already walking. He is a very caring human being, compassionate and above all very humble. He is great at his job. It breaks my heart to know that Health First doesn't know how to value great doctors like Dr Mejia which they have very few. I trust him with my life. Just a little note to Health First your numbers will never be the same without DR. MEJIA.

Dr. Mejia is one of the best and most caring surgeons I have ever met. He was extremely concerned about my constant diverticulitis flares which caused me to run high fevers and of the possibility of sepsis as a result of these attacks. He was very patient in answering questions and explaining what the various outcomes could be as a result of surgery versus non-surgery and he never seemed to be in a hurry to leave to get to his next patient/task/ etc. He was never arrogant when talking with me and my husband - just concerned. I would recommend him to anyone needing surgery. He’s simply the BEST.

He's great I healed fast like all doctors they are not in the business of pleasure so no personal bonding as long as he did a great job who cares. Takes a special kind of human to become a surgeon

When I went back for post visit, I told the RMA that there was blood coming out of my vagina when I voided. The doctor didn't discuss it with me so I figured it was normal. I felt horrible since my gallbladder was removed. I had to go to the hospital yesterday with kidney infection from the UTI I had from the gallbladder surgery. I just hope I will feel normal again after I finish the 10 days of antibiotics for the UTI I have had for over a month..

Dr. Mejia is an excellent surgeon- he is also kind and compassionate. I was in extreme pain and he took the time to evaluate me and then scheduled the removal of my gallbladder right away. He is the best!

Best Doctor in the area, would recommend him over and over. Caring and kind doctor and staff which is hard to find around this area.

Dr. Mejia performed emergency middle-of-the-night surgery to save my life. I was on life-support when he had to remove 4 1/2 feet of colon but he left enough for a stoma reversal. My hero.
