Dr. Jose Jorge Pozo, MD

I leave 1 star because it doesn’t allow for 0. This office and doctor is the worst. He is weird and rude. Doesn’t know how to treat people. The staff is the same. I took my grandmother here because we had a referral from her primary doctor. I wish I looked him up before going there. He wants to know details of your personal life that have nothing to do with why you are there and when you say you aren’t comfortable he throws you out of the office and threatens to call the police. Stay away from this place!!! On top of it the place smells like mold or something weird. Threw my allergies off just being in there lobby for a few minutes.

Rudest, Unprofessional, No bedside Manners.. Scheduled an appointment to be a new patient after not having a neurologist for 10 months. Dr. Pozo walks in the room doesn’t greet me, introduce himself just flat out asks why are you here. I explain that I’m in need of a new provider for the many issues I’ve been treated with the past 5 years he puts his head down and says I’m not taking any patients that have come from another neurologist or surgeon. I ask him to repeat what he said to make sure I heard what he said he repeated it again and walks out the door to his front desk staff and tells her that he’s not treating me and that I should either call administration on my previous neurologist to get an appointment or go online to find another provider because he would not treat me.. I have never heard of a provider telling a patient he would refuse care because they were seen by another provider that’s Crazy.. His reviews are horrible I suggest anyone read his reviews before scheduling an… appointment that is exactly what I should have done before wasting my time with Dr. Unprofessional

I've known Dr. Pozo for many years. I appreciate his brilliance and familiarity with maladies that affect me. I chose him because he received credentials twice, in Cuba and in the USA, so he knows his stuff. God willing he'll be willing to continue taking my insurance because I think I'm lucky to have him as a neurologist!

I’m 96 and this was my first visit. Dr. Pozo spent a long time with me and was thorough, thoughtful and easily explained my diagnosis with me. I would highly recommend him.

Doctor Pozo is an excellent Doctor very caring and helpful always greets me and shakes my hand when he enters the room he makes sure i have what i need and his staff are all very friendly and nice just a very nice atmosphere some times it does take a little longer than it should but i don't mind the extra 5 minute wait they do apologize if it does take a little longer.

He is very caring dr. Who takes his time with you and answer all your questions. He is a very caring dr. His staff is wonderful also. Highly suggest him for any neurgocial problems!!!!

The dr. would not continue the prescription thst my last neurologist prescribed to me. I tried numerous meds for my brain pains due to a traumatic brain injury, He prescribed me topamax witch I told him my last neurologist prescribed me that did nothing for me and I hate antidepressants at that. He also prescribed me the fiuricet that I wanted to try for relief but he cancelled it on me for some unknown reason. The pharmacy called me to say that there is a prescription that is resdy for pick-up so I asked witch one was it and he said it was the topamax that I did not even want so I asked him about the fiuricet and he said that the dr,s office cancelled it so for me having to deal with all this in the pain that im in, I would just like to tell everyone looking for a good neurologist not to go to him for relief because he will disappoint you.

Best doctor ever! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Dr Pozo really took the time to review my chart and answer any and all questions and concerns I may have had. Highly recommend.

Medical staff receptionist Nicole is a very nasty person. Very rude and helpless when speaking to her on the telephone.

Granted an earlier appt took longer than normal and set the day back, however my appt was at noon and I didn't see Pozo until 1:15 and no one mentioned anything when I checked in. He came into the exam room, I said hello, he just says Pozo then sits at the computer for about 5 mins saying nothing. Most awkward moment in a doctor's office. He was not friendly, nor personable. When I mentioned certain paperwork needed to be filled out for my work due to my condition, his response was, "this will not save your job." The point of the paperwork was to cover myself due to my headaches, if I were to miss work in the future. So yes it was to save my job. He then passed the paperwork on to his staff and said they would call when it was ready, regardless of the urgency I was insisting about a deadline for me to get the paperwork back to my HR dept. Never said anything else after handing the paperwork to the girls and proceeded to walk around the counter to go grab a bite of the pasta that they… must have ordered in. When I stressed to the girl at the front how important that paperwork was, her response was, "we will do our best.'' When I called back the next morning, she said, "well you were told you would be called when it is ready, and the doctor is out on Fridays." I stressed again how it was due that Monday, and she said again, "they would do their best." Now I understand that doctors are busy, however, my paperwork was only to let my HR know how often my headaches occur and him to sign off on it. THAT'S IT! and the 10 mins it took for me to tell him how urgent this was he could have done that in the exam room, but he just wanted to hand it off and go eat pasta. I have never felt so disrespected nor brushed off by a doctor. Nor have I ever felt so uncomfortable. Every time I tried explaining how my head and body felt, he would just repeat the question that he was apparently reading from his checklist. The empathy was missing.
