Dr. Joseph Kandel, MD

First visit. He knew exactly what nerves were affected from TKR. Following orders with MRI and Vascular and they also stated same nerves. Warm, compassionate and caring. One doc that I will do all follow ups. That’s a big statement coming from me!

I’m surprised that anyone would say this office staff is incompetent or rude. That person must of been feeling very ill that day and very depressed to ever interpret this office is rude. It’s exceptional and probably the best doctors office I have ever been to in my entire life. Anyone who writes a bad review is most likely an unhappy person. I had treated with another Fort Myers neurologist in the past and… my experience with that neurologist and Dr. Kandel is completely night and day. I would never wanna go back to any other neurologist and Dr. Kandel. His entire office created the most pleasant experience with the doctors office that I have ever had. And I am not want to go to the doctor!

Worst office ever. My husband was seen by this doctor once. The doctor had a list of at least 7 tests to be run, but the office staff gave me an incomplete list and expected meet be clairvoient and figure out what tests he wanted and how to get them run. They were of no help in scheduling a sedation for his tests even though he could not have the tests done without. They argued with the hospital on paperwork and the test was denied until I called all of the hospital execs to get help. One minute they told us he needed a certain test before he could see the Dr and the next he did not need it then back to needing it. But they did not tell us where the test was to be done or that orders had been sent months before. Then one person in the office told us his chart would be marked as "non-compliant" if we did not get all of these tests done before his appointment in two weeks. Again we had trouble getting sedation for another test. Everything was a fight. He had gone for still another… test and the Dr who did the testing asked when he would see Dr Kandel again. We told her in two days. She looked surprised and told us we may want to check because she thought he was on vacation, which he was. They had made the appointment with the PA to review all of these tests. I found this inappropriate all of these tests should be reviewed by the Dr with the patient to establish diagnosis. The case can be turned over to the PA once that diagnosis is established. Then we were told he had to get one more test done before anyone would see him. So he did and an appointment was made. We got to the office to find the doors locked. Went next-door and they told us he was not in that office today. My husband said he would never go back. If the doctor is incapable of overseeing his office staff which is the front line of his business, then it is doubtful he is capable of overseeing his patients health.

Went to many Dr. and found Dr. Kandel one of the best. So good even referred my Mother and she love him and his staff. Always greeted with a smile and professionalism. Will continue to see him, he brings back the down home Dr. feel to Naples and Fort Myers. Thank you Dr. Kandel and his staff for all you do. Keith S. Kazor

The office staff is impossible and very rude

I have had great experiences with the whole Staff of Dr. Kandel's Office they all seem to have cared about my problem and worked very hard to take care of my problem(and they did) I'am a person who never would write a review but the treatment given to me. But it was outstanding. I wish that I could say the same about all the Doctors and Staff that I have seen over the past years. Very professional office who greets you with a Hello and a Smile

I am a fairly new patient of Dr Kandel he is a very competent personable funny physician who really cares about his patients. He is treating me for headache and neck pain really helping me his PT are fantastic the best you will ever have I highly recommend him. Shirley Kerr

Very rude

He believed my late Husband was lying about his pain in order to collect workers compensation and therefore didn't listen to the real problem he was having. My husband subsequently died from a blood clot in his leg. All dr landed had to do was listen and order a simple ultrasound.

I am having a lot of issues and am in severe distress. After my first appt he did a follow up a month later. Diagnosis was not given, still in a lot of distress. Finally gave me a pill and sent me off to a chiropractor and said to come back in three months. When I asked about a diagnosis for my condition, he could not answer and offered no other tests. I am right back where I started and don't know where to turn. Need a Neuro, but my first time seeing one now makes me want it to be my last....
