Dr. Joseph Tauber, MD

This doctor did not put the lense I asked for with my cataract surgery. They put in multifocal which I am very unhappy about. The second eye was scheduled and Dr. Tauber gave me little help in determining best course of action. Second lense resulted in poorer vision than I had prior to surgery.

Dr. Tauber seemed annoyed by my questions and interrupted me more than once. He goes too fast and doesn't spend enough time with each patient. The surgery he recommended and said would be no big deal WAS a big deal, and I do not feel I was well-informed as to what I could expect. The people who work in his office seem afraid of him.

My experience was not positive as the front counter staff were not accommodating at all. There was a considerable wait once I was in the examination room. It seems that things are "not together" in what seems to be an assembly line style of doctoring. The main issue is that my contacts came in wrong with the wrong prescription. When I returned them, I was told that the prescription was "close enough". For me, a prescription is just that...an exact prescription for your eyes.

I have found Dr. Tauber to be a knowledgeable doctor who has helped point me in the correct direction for treating my cornea damage. He can have a long wait time (30-45 minutes) in his doctor office but he takes his time to talk to you during the appt.

I was treated professionally with a very caring attitude. My problem with dry eyes was diagnosed, explained, and treated. My eyes have not been this comfortable in 4 years. I would recommend this doctor's office to my best friend. I don't think you could find a better doctor and staff.
