Dr. Juan A Albino, MD

Soy Jorge Guzman Ortiz Boston University School of Medicine Graduate 1980.Conoci a un Juan Albino estudiante de Harvard Medical Scool en 1977 through BHO.He became a very good friend of mine.Last time I saw him we went to see Star Wars in a 42nd ave in NYC.He was at residency program in Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx.Me gustaria saber si es Ud ese Juan Albino que conoci en Boston.creo que estudio en el colegio San Jose o el San Antonio de Rio Piedras P.R antes de irse a USA.

I was referred by my primary physician. I was told to come in and sign a release, which I did immediately. After a month went by and not hearing anything I stopped by to find out the status. My paper work was finally found shoved in a cabinet. My previous records were received a month ago! On my paper work it was noted he was not interested in me. No reason, just not interested. They could have at least had the decency to call and tell me. I also feel they owe an explanation on what is "not interested" I did ask for a call with an explanation but we all know that will never happen. Obviously this physician does not care for helping ALL people. Maybe it's only ones with high dollar cases.

Staff does not return phone calls.

Dr. Albino is very trustworthy, I called as well as another doctors office to get past reports. We each have called at least 3 times with no results. By doing so this office has held up medical treatment that I need. I will need to go to the office myself, I will do so, but a few minuets to find the reports and to fax it out is all it will take.

Personally found Dr. Albino to be a very professional and competent doctor. As some others have stated, with a few exceptions, Dr. Albino's staff does leave something to be desired. While professional in manners, Some have been very rude, but only on telephone. I have never experienced this rudeness face to face. Undoubtedly, as with most Doctors, it is very doubtfull that Dr. Albino is aware of what occasionally happens between his front office staff and his patients.

He is an excellent doctor to have! He has always been on time to see me and has kept me healthy. Those patients who complain are very rude to the staff of what I have seen. The times that I came to his office, I saw many patients being very impatient and rude. He has other patients that may require more time than others. Patients MUST understand that. And remember, he has a family that he has to support too.

Can't comment on the Dr. himself, as never was able to get an appointment. I wonder if he knows how inept his staff is. Had 3 months of "I'll have to check with the office manager and call you back". Never once got a call back, even after having records sent from previous pulmonologist. Finally, requested records so we could go elsewhere. Said I would pick up..."Oh, no, we'll mail them to you". Still haven't received...doubt very much they were ever sent. Very unprofessional! Sad part is, he probably has no idea of what goes on!

While it is true that the doctor falls behind on appointment time, he spends a good deal of time with each of his patients. I don't mind waiting because I know that he will take whatever time is necessary to diagnose my problem. He is the best doctor that I have ever had.

Nice person, knowledgeable, caring - would rate well in all areas except time spent in waiting room and exam room. Nurse good, office staff moderate.
