Dr. Juan Pablo Aponte, MD

I went to Juan Aponte for a few years. Ever time I seen him he was always in a hurry and did not listen to me at all. The final time I went to see him he did not listen to me about my medicine was not working or why something was so high. He called me and told me I need to start treatment immediately for something that I did not have. I told him that I wanted a second opinion and next thing I knew I was being booted out from his practice and practices associated with him. I went to a second opinion and I found out that I was on medication that I did not need to be on and that I had been misdiagnosed. Now since I had challenged him on his diagnosis I am much healthier with a doctor who is not a pill pusher and will listen to you carefully. My mom changed from him and found out that she was also on medication that she didn't needed to be on and ones she was having a reaction to that has now caused damage to her lungs. When she went to tell him about her symptoms all he did was prescribed… her inhalers instead of switching the medication. I would stay away from him.

Dr. Aponte is one of the most caring and concerned doctors I have ever been too. He has spent much time getting my health status under control and striving for excellence. I would recommend him highly! Joe Patrick

Found his care to be substandard

I had a great experience with this doctor. He spent over an hour and a half with me trying to figure out what was going on, and not once did I feel like he was trying to leave. Showed concern, great listening skills and definitely was the doctor advocate that I needed to address my suffering.

Dr aponte believes the only answer is to give you a pill, and does not spend time diagnosing the problem.
