He doesn't explain anything, doesn't introduce himself, and he does vein procedures like it is an assembly line. Totally aloof and "busy" attitude.

Took time to listen to my concerns answered all my questions gave me referarrals needed to continue my care

I have been a patient of Dr. Juan Taveras for more than 15 years. He has excellent bedside manners. He has Always made me feel comfortable enough to tell him how I feel and what ails me. The time he spends with me is conducive to making me feel better, always! His diagnosis is that of an experienced doctor in his field. Always referring me and getting other experts on board when needed. Follow up visits are always as needed. His staff is always very courteous and respectful to all in the waiting area. I would never change Dr. Taveras to go to another doctor

Dr. Taveras has always spent as much time with me as needed. I have had to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours. I assume he is treating someone who needs him at the hospital or an emergency. He always apologizes for the wait. He has always been very courteous and allows me to answer his questions and does not ever rush me. He does not request tests that are not needed. He always remembers what we talked about the previous appointments and asks questions about those things. I feel as if I am in good hands with Dr. Taveras for the 6 years I have been going to him.

I have gone to Dr. Taveras for 6 years. Although the wait is long, it is worth it. He works well with my electrophysiologist in Houston. When my pacemaker was losing battery power, he discovered it. He & his staff dropped everything and wouldn't let me leave the office until I was scheduled for replacement surgery right away. He is caring, informative, cooperative and has a lot of common sense. I highly recommend him.

I have been cared for by Dr Taveras for 8 years in El Paso. He recently inserted my pacemaker and saw me for a follow up a week ago. He took the time to explain my procedure and why I needed it to myself and my husband and answered all our questions beforehand. The procedure went perfect and he continues to provide care for me and my family. I would recommend him first before any other cardiologist in town.
