Dr. Julene Opalene E Evans Murage, MD

I went to see Dr Murage in August for the first time for an annual visit. It was my first time there but was a patient with other Trinity doctors. I had a history of fibroids and told the doctor this before the exam. She did the routine exam and saw I had an MRI done at a Trinity affiliated hospital for the fibroids the year before and it recommended I get and ultra sound due to a cyst that was found. She pushed a button for the script to come out and handed it to me. I got the bill a month later and was wondering why I would owe money for a routine annual exam. I find out the routine exam was processed through insurance and then there was another charge of $245.00 but through my insurance for New Patient. After 5 months of going back and forth with insurance and the doctor's office I was told by the doctors office this was correct because my uterus was enlarged during exam. It's always enlarged due to the fibroids, so what does that got to do with anything. The doctor didn't do… anything more to treat me. She just did a routine exam and noticed I had a enlarged uterus, so I get charged extra for this. I was told by the girl who was looking into this matter that this is normal and health care is very expensive now. YEA, it's because of charges like this for no reason at all. I would not recommend this place. They will try and milk more money from insurance and you! I don't know if it's the doctors office that does this or it's Trinity. I had fibroids for a long time and have never had a doctor charge me more because of it.

Visited Dr. Murage in Levittown office for a post- menopausal bleeding.She was professional,attentive, answered my questions and ordered CT scan and blood work. Revisted her again and at that time an appointment was made for endometrial biopsy due to thickening. She explained thoroughly what the procedure entailed and what the biopsy may show atypical cells vs atypical cells.The day of the procedure she was there before I went to OR and post operatively expalined to me and my husband what her findings were. I am very pleased with the care I received and will continue as a patient of hers. I also will recommend her to all my friends and family.

One of the best doctors I have seen yet. Friendly - Knowledgeable - Willing to Analyze A Situation and Educate You On What It May Be. She makes you feel comfortable. The only two negatives -She has a medical assistant with you which makes you feel as if she does not trust you and the medical assistant Janell was NOT at all friendly. She was rude at times and did NOT represent the organization well. Other than that Dr Murage was exactly what others said - a great doctor and extremely nice lady. It's a shame that she does not trust her patients and feels that she needs someone else in the room.

My experience with her was so disappointing. I chose her to be my ob because I had a miscarriage 4 months earlier and she attended to me and also because my husband and I were moving from NYC to Monroe NY. When I saw her shw was still working with Crystal Run. With my second pregnancy I was terrified and I found that every time I asked her a question she would be sarcastic and start off her response with "I've been doing this for 25 years now ......" . On my 2nd or 3rd visit the nurse performed a routine urine test and it showed I had protein in my urine. When I ask the doctor if this was normal and should I be worried she replied with her line "I've been doing this for 25 years now ......" . So I felt dumb and decided to think nothing of it. After all she's the doctor. By my 4th or 5th visit it started getting very difficult to get an appointment with her, so i asked the appointment assistant "is dr murage still with Crystal Run?" To my surprise she said no. The air was knocked out of… me. 7 months pregnant and no doctor. Crystal Run was happy to connect me with another doctor but I was in such disbelief that Dr Murage was leaving and never once thought to mention it. My husband and I decided to stay in the city because finding a house was becoming exhausting, 7 months pregnant and house hunting didn't go together. So I had to transfer care. There was no one at Crystal Run to assist me or refer me to a doctor. I finally found a wonderful high risk pregnancy doctor in Manhattan. High risk doctor because I found out that's the only kind of doctor who will take a patient this late in a pregnancy. By my second visit with my new doctor he found protein in my urine and was on alert for preeclampsia. He wondered why my previous doctor (Murage) didn't put me on aspirin at 16-18 weeks because I had all the indications for possible preeclampsia. Long story shortened I had to get an emergency c-section at 8 months- 3 weeks after getting dumped by Murage. New doctor said I was lucky to switch care at the time I did because things could have been so much worse. From that very first urine test which showed protien in my urine she should have put my on baby aspirin. She should have been on high alert instead she was rude, uncaring, condescending, and I guess preoccupied with leaving CR. Dr Murage was very dismissive and am unsure why she treated me the way she did. In my heart I feel l6she cost me a full term pregnancy- I had to deliver early because she didn't do her due diligence.

Dr. Murage is a very Compassionate & Knowledgeable. What a sweet lady! I highly recommend her!

Dr Murage is the best obstetrician ever she allays concerns and fears. She's knowledgeable concerned and intuitively listens before addressing the issue in addition she is concerned about the entire woman not just gynecology.

Always patient. Very very caring. Always takes time with me after each exam. Always provide great health information and referrals.

Best Ob/Gyn ever very nice and helpful. loved it!
