So blessed that we were spared from having an Appt. In trying to do so the office staff were incredibly rude. Thanks for the initial insight in the practice.

Excellent Doctor!

Ive seen Dr Maddox over 10 years for Parkinsons disease. I have a complex medical problem and she has always taken the time to hear me out and listen to my concerns. She has been patient with my lack of punctuality due to driving restrictions. She has always taken the time to see me on short notice when its necessary and always made timely referrals when necessary. I have had difficulty finding medications that work for me and she has been patient with that also, I have had a couple instances where the nurses did not return a call, but that happening a cple times over 15 years or so is a good track record. The new billing company has been very aggressive and a real hassle, but the office staff themselves and from desk folks are wonderful and helpful. Its important to note on these reviews that today many people are simply seeking narcotics, and seem quite angry when they have to take a drug test or dont get what they came looking for tey decide to give the Dr bad ratings. People can… see right through it. And yes Dr's do have aright to pick their patients on the same way you can chose another dr. .

She is a great neurologist. I saw her a long time ago before I started having seizures. I wish I was able to go to her now but I've since moved to Iowa.

I have been a patient of Dr. Maddox for years and will never change. She is an excellent doctor. She has helped me more than any doctor ever has. If I was asked how her office could improve, I wouldn't be able to suggest anything. I always have a great experience.

Dr. Maddox and her staff are wonderful! They provide excellent and compassionate care. The office is well managed, courteous, and prompt. Dr. Maddox is a great listener with a thoughtful bedside manner. The office is prompt on answering questions and refilling prescriptions. I have seen a number of neurologists for my complex migraines and related neurological problems at Johns Hopkins, Mayo and NIH. Dr. Maddox is the same caliber physician as I have seen at these top-rated institutions.

I have been with Dr. Maddox since 2005 and been very well taken care of. I have mutiple neurological problems and she has diagnosed as well as treated them.

Ive been seeing this dr for over 6 years for a complex medical issue. While I agree the staff can sometimes neglect to return calls or send messages, for the most part they accomplish what needs to be done given how busy the office is. Dr Maddox has always spent adequate time with me and addressed my concerns. In short, this is a very busy practice, and if you need individualized "boutique medical care" this office isn't for you, you may want to see a GP for that. Having had to interact with many Dr's over the last few years of my life, I have noticed that as well bad Dr's there are bad patients. -Those that are simply seeking narcotics, those that attempt to use a Medical Dr as a psychiatrist, those that want definite answers to questions that have none, ect ect...I always take reviews with a grain of salt because I know how some people are, and I don't know who is writing the review. Most satisfied patients don't bother to write reviews, only the disgruntled ones. As stated above,… while Ive had a couple issues having messages delivered or calls returned due to how busy the office is, The overall experience has been good and Dr Maddox has always listened and responded my concerns. If your expecting anything more from a Dr, any Dr, your going to be disappointed.

Minimum 1 hour+ waiting after appointment time, the first appointment of the day is at 7:30, she didn't show up at the office until 8:20 one of the mornings I was there. Sadly, that was the shortest wait time I've had. She first comes off as nice, but becomes arrogant when questioned or asked to explain anything. Will not explain diagnosis, does not go over side effects of medication, and has cut me off repeatedly in the middle of telling her my symptoms because apparently she doesn't need to hear them. She repeatedly gave me medication that was not suitable with other medication I am on or in some cases, would have caused serious health consequences with other diagnosis' I have. When I called about these issues, the nurse who called back (after 4 notes left for them to call back) was rude and belligerent. Also lied on my chart saying she checked my vitals and did other exams, between her staff and herself, the only things checked were weight, reflexes, and blood pressure with a… REALLY inaccurate wrist cuff. I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone and urge anyone who has her as a doctor to make sure the medication prescribed is safe with other meds you are on or any prior medical conditions.

NO STARS!!! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! DR MADDOX' NURSE IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE AND SHE HAS SHORT DARK HAIR AND GLASSES! THEY ARE ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY. SHE IS A LIAR AND EVEN HUNG UP THE PHONE ON NUMEROUS PATIENTS! NEVER SEE THIS GROUP OF MORONS!!
