Terrible experience, after surgery the pain was getting worse instead of better. I went to see her, she looked at the MRI and said, oh I see, I should have gone a little lower. She made a mistake, so I had to have another surgery.

Dr. French is a GREAT Doctor, she handled my Surgery in 2010-On my way back to see her again, I know she will provide me with all available options.

Dr. French is top-notch in my book. I saw her for a 2nd opinion for upper back (cervical fusion) surgery on 5 disks in 2004. I had one previous surgery by and Orthopedic surgeon for a herniated cervical disk in 1986 and that was a very bad experience with more pain after surgery than before surgery. So I was very cautious about having another surgery. I was impressed with her staff; they were friendly, kind and compassionate. Dr. French is extremely intelligent, but down-to-earth without a drop of arrogance. Yes, the wait in her office may be more than 10-15 minutes on occasion only because she treats each patient as an individual and doesn't run patients through her office like a car wash. She made sure that all my questions were answered and explained my MRI and surgical and pain relief options. Needless to say she was my choice for surgery and I am very happy with the outcome. Eleven years later, I have severe lower back and leg pain that is beyond my Primary Care… Physician. So I made an appointment with Dr. French without hesitation. My first appointment had to be rescheduled because she was called to do an emergency surgery at Fairfax Hospital. She made her apologies before she left the office and her staff rescheduled my appointment for the next day. If i do need lower back surgery, there is no question that Dr. French will be the only surgeon for me.

I had 3 broken bones in my neck and one broken bone in my back. Two discs in bad shape. I waited quite a while for an appointment. It was well worth it. I have been out of severe pain for years now. I know many other happy patients including a local doctor.

Dr. French stepped in at the last minute and arranged for emergency surgery for two herniated discs after another orthopedic surgeon dithered haplessly for many weeks trying to diagnose my situation while I was in constant excruciating pain. Her diagnosis was right on the mark, she and her staff treated me in a warm and professional manner, and thanks to her skillful hands the terrible pain I had is now gone. I couldn't have asked for more!

Awesome doctor, very knowledgeable. Takes as much time as necessary to make you comfortable. Friendly staff. Well worth the wait.
