Dr. Kavita Iyengar, MD

Dr Iyengar is a wonderful Dr. She has helped me so much. She's very personal but at the same time nice and friendly. I highly recommend her.

Always an excellent experience, quick appointment scheduling, polite staff, and very good bedside manner. Excellent surgeon, she has done difficult surgery on me before and is going to do another. I have complete trust in her knowledge and ability. I would highly recommend.

Dr Iyengar and her PA CJ have provided excellent care to me over the past several years. I have unfortunately had to have multiple surgeries during this time. However, the care and professionalism from Dr Iyengar has been above reproach. My surgeries have been successful and allowed me to return to normal activities. I would definitely recommend her to anyone especially my family and friends.

Excellent surgeon. Everyone on staff is very helpful. However I have 2 complaints: 1.) When orders are being sent out to physical therapy providers, including Aspire Physical Recovery at Hoover, Amedisys Home Health, and Therapy South, the assistants who write out the orders seem to consistently write the orders wrong. It generally takes several notices for them to send the correct orders, i.e. for left foot, not right foot. 2.) My medication list, when sent to Grandview Hospital was wrong. Therefore, Grandview would send wrong medication orders to Aspire Physical Recovery Center. This happened on two seperate occasions when I was transferred from Grandview to Aspire. Both times it took 5 days to start receiving Gabapentin for my neuropathy.

Very nice office and staff! Dr. Iyengar is very knowledgeable, patient, listens and offers different treatment plans with conservative approach first! I appreciate that with a doctor…especially a surgeon!! Highly recommend Dr. Iyengar for any orthopedic problem and trust her guidance!

Wait time was a little long as they were running behind. Since this was a knee replacement followup, I was sitting in pain, waiting. However, the PA was very patient and attentive once I was taken back. He answered my questions and I was out in a timely manner.
