Has made up FDA laws to me that don't exist. Is rude. Walks in during ketamine treatment when I'm high and tries to discuss business. Talks incredibly fast and won't stop so you can understand him. Pushy as all get out. I'm going to be very happy when I never have to see this man ever again. I'm sure he's technically a great well accredited very able doctor, but he needs to be taken off what he's doing and retrained to deal with the public. And if he can't do that, UH needs to replace him completely.

Dr. Gao is a very knowledgeable psychiatrist. He truly understands the patient’s condition and is able to come up with a treatment plan that has the patient’s best interest in mind. I have always been able to get an appointment when needed and he spends plenty of time during the appointment. He is life saving.

I appreciate Dr. Gao and UH for their consistency and reliability. Prescription requests and questions are processed through the system very quickly. I have also been able to make appointments easily. Dr. Gao is intelligent but also able to be on a personal level with patients. I trust him and UH greatly.

Dr Gao is a very busy man within the Dept of Psychiatry at UH but I never feel I am taking too much of his time. He has also always been extremely attentive toward any medications or lab work that needed changed. He is also always willing to see me in office if there is some sort of immediate need. Highly recommended

Highly recommend this fine doctor. Really listens and works with you to determine the best treatment plan for you. Very kind and compassionate.

Dr. Gao has been my Doctor for over ten years, and has been through many "episodes" with me and saved my life and life with my family. He is amazing.... So is his Staff.
