Dr. Kennedy Yalamanchili, MD

My spouse suffered from a severe ruptured aneurysm and was taken to Christiana Hospital where Dr Yalamanchili was the neurosurgeon on call. I was out of town at the time of the incident and was desperately trying to get home because of the severity of the issue. Dr. Yalamanchili told me - on the phone - that I should hurry because it’s unlikely that my husband would be alive when I got to the hospital. And their “care plan” was to “keep him comfortable,” basically on fentanyl until he died. Fortunately, a neurosurgeon friend recommended that I get my husband from this hospital. We immediately transferred my husband to the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center where they performed surgery and my husband is still alive - now five years later. This experience leaves me with very little faith in the doctors (in neurosurgery?) and care at Christiana Hospital!

My husband suffered 5 months of severe back pain and tried everything the doctors here downstate told him to do - PT, epidural, etc. Nothing helped, & he deteriorated to being confined to a wheel chair. We were referred to Dr Yalamanchili, and it took awhile to get an appointment, but he reviewed all the imaging and immediately scheduled emergency surgery. The surgery fixed his problem and the recovery was remarkable considering the extent of nerve damage done. I am so pleased with him and the staff there. They could not have been more professional, efficient, and caring. Shout out also to PA Shakara Smith and scheduler Lynn Vanneman. Thank you all!! My advice to anyone would be - call ASAP because it does take some time to get an appointment.

I've had soooo many surgeries and continuous pain for many years....until I saw Dr. Yalamanchili. My prayers were finally answered! I am now almost completely pain free. It's impossible to describe how fantabulistic my life is now, compared to before this doc!

Dr.yalamanchili was a great Dr. I had neck surgery in Feb. 2016,i have had 16 surgery in my life and this was one of the best surgery I have ever had. Now I'm going to see him about possibly back surgery.

A. Don't use GPS to find the office for the practice. B. Don't use this practice. Zero customer service and even less compassion.

I was treated very well by dr yialamanchili and his staff. I think this dr should be cloned as he is truly that good.

Dr. Yalamanchili performed emergency brain surgery on my mother after she had a ruptured aneurysm. The surgery took almost eleven hours. He saved my Mom's life and I will be forever grateful. He was fantastic from the beginning and made it a point to check on her even in the middle of the night. She spent two weeks in intensive care and has survived with no lasting neurological effects. That was 11 years ago and we are still so glad that it was Dr. Yalamanchili who was on call that night. Thank you Dr. Yalamanchili, because of youy mother has lived to see her grandchildren.

L5/S1 Fusion patient. Dr. Yalamanchili and Dr. Shakara Smith are both friendly and easily approachable physicians. In my experience, they both are excellent in their fields. I searched and did my homework before selecting someone to cut into my spine. I felt totally comfortable in the care of Drs Yalamanchili and Smith. The office is a very busy one because they are Good! Nevertheless, my calls were always returned in a timely manner. I know I was in the best hands possible with this office. Im very pleased with the way they treated me. I will always choose Dr. Yalamanchili because that is where I have the best possible outcome. Thank you for all you have done!

I entrusted Dr. Yalamanchili to perform a lumbar fusion on me. He didnt let me down. He is a fantastic neurosurgeon.
