Dr. Keolanui Gregory Chun, MD

This doctor knows nothing about respecting his patients or their rights. He is manipulative, condescending and does what is in the best interest of the insurance companies that pay him. He walked away as I was talking to him about my medical condition and the recommendations he made to my condition, and we ended up discussing my health condition in the middle of the waiting area and before other patients. a clear violation to my HIPPA rights. I did report him to the Medical Board to investigate the case.

I had my neck fused by Dr. Chun in 2006. It's now 2019, 13 years later, no problems and no need for any medication.

I have found Dr. Chun to be informative, fair and an excellent surgeon.

I like his patient, conservative attitude toward treatment of orthopedic concerns. Not quick to reach for the scalpel, but is open to other alternative treatment modalities. He is honest, and probably would not be a good choice as a plaintiff's evaluating physician in a Worker's Comp.case.

Complete idiot - does not understand spine disease. Very arrogant. Not technically good. I was forced to change doctors to him because insurance forced me - however, when I went to court, judge approved me to see another doctor because even the judges know he is "terrible"

Great doctor

I met with Dr. Chun regarding a severe back injury and was met with skepticism and doubt regarding the validity of the injury. He presents himself as caring, thoughtful doctor but in reality, writes reports and gives medical opinions that lean toward the insurance company that pays him. When my other doctor reviewed my MRI he scheduled me for emergency surgery, Chun on the other hand, wrote a report that claimed I was not injured. If you have an industrial claim and are seeking a neutral opinion, do NOT seek a diagnosis from this individual.

He is knowledgeable, kind and caring. He will not do surgery unless a the patient really needs it and this is important to me. He is willing to explore and support alternate ways to solve a back problem. I appreciate his expertise very much!

Dr Chun...is the best Surgeon and Dr I have ever had..he is extremely knowledgeable of his field of medicine...and he is patient with my zillion concerns and questions, he has gone out of his way to explain all the intricate details regarding my case,my injury, my surgery,and my prognosis...excellent caring professional....
