Dr. Kim Elaine Schmitt, MD

Everything bad that has been written about Kim Schmitt is true. She is a liar. She chose to lie about my test results. She's arrogant and believes she knows everything. Rude, incompetent staff. Her nurse is such an idiot, she doesn't understand when a test comes back "negative" does not automatically stop your agonizing pain. It's just another dead-end. She was too brain-dead to obviously understand that.

Went to her for my chronic sinusitis and possible allergies. Had MRI and allergy test. Waited for a hour and 1/2 in exam room before got interpretation of results. While there she wanted me to have sleep apnea test before she would do balloon sinuplasty. I refused. Then she called me on the weekend to tell me I could sign a release should I die or have complications during the procedure and she would do it. Needless to say, I have not proceeded with the surgery or allergy shots. She now wants to charge a $1 per page and maybe more to send results to another ENT for a second opinion. She is not the kind of doctor I want or need. Unbelievable!

Dr. Schmitt is an excellent doctor!

I have been a patient here for 3 years. I continued to go back because the staff was so kind to my child and the ease of appointment was easy. Now her staff is gone. I don't ever get a call back, my insurance was not filed properly which resulted in a big bill mishap. It's still easy to get an appointment there because she isn't busy. Now I know why. No one wants to deal with rude staff and a rude Doctor. I'll take my copay somewhere else.

Hmm..It's been 12 years since I lived in the Trussville area and received services from Dr. Schmitt. My son had recurrent sinus infections. I had 40year old cryptic tonsils...overdue for removal & making me very sick. Dr. Schmitt met our needs. Cameron had adenoids removed and began using a Grossan nasal irrigater to keep his sinuses clear. I had a tonsillectomy. I don't remember how to rate all that other stuff. Our issues were satisfactorily adressed. Wanted to find out if she was still in the area to recommend her to my brother and noted the other reviews...She might not be the right fit for everyone...but, we had a lot of choices with our insurance & I did not feel the need to look elsewhere.

brilliant diagnostician. loves her patients and spends a lot of time with them explaining their diagnosis and course of treatment. I really don't understand what those other two patients are talking about. I've been going to Dr. S for over 2 decades.

She read my study wrong. After a second Dr. read my study lower my pressure by 6 points. They have very poor record keeping on Meds. Very slow about calling in Rx.

If this helps just 1 person out there, GREAT! I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time or money. I feel that she tried to get all of her information to you in the first meeting and thats all. She will end it with talk about possible meds. to prescribe but in her words, "Just like cancer patients they want help yesterday but it takes time until I can diagnose you." So you are strung along the path of 2 sleep studies 2-3 more office visits later she sells you on a CPAP machine. Then when you respond with "YES, Lets do it!" She seems shocked; then whenever CPAP doesn't work because it is really Narcolepsy due to me being young, skinny, family history of Narcolepsy, and an overworked Investment Banker, and you get fired from your job the office acts as though they can't get to drain your insurance any longer so you will not be allowed to see the doctor. Well I KNOW this is most every doctors practice in this day and time but as Americans we need to stand up and start realizing that it is not… their job to make us better but THEY ARE THEIR TO FEED OFF THE WEAK (they will make you weak and feel helpless) SO YOU HAVE TO KEEP COMING BACK AND PAY THEM FOR THE SAME OLD MONEY FACTOR THAT HAS GOTTEN YOU IN THE LIE TO BEGIN WITH! GOD is the only physician that can help so I have no idea why people keep going to a so called doctor or a quack doc. REALLY NO DIFFERENCE! I would have felt better about a large donation of the money I paid Dr Schmitt if IT WOULD HAVE HAD UNICEF's NAME ON IT OR SOME OTHER CHARITY THAT NEEDED IT! JASON LETT Former Patient/Former Banker/Former Investment Rep/Currently reads the Bible and studies a ton about GOD and has learned the Bible states WHOA unto doctors and lawyers! AMEN! Please donate your efforts and time to the only HEALER and that is GOD!

Absolutely no respect for the time, comfort or needs of the patient.
